Yeah, dual booting on their own hardware lol. But Apple has told many a site to take down guides on installing OS X on other computers than their own. So dual-booting is only half way off that list.
The hardware becomes part of the war because it's tied in by Apple with the OS. So it's a whole. Unlike Windows where it's not tied to specific hardware. You do the choosing.

No, there's no such thing as a Windows PC like there are Mac's. These are companies who mass produce computers and choose to put Windows on it and any other extra crap they can make a penny off from bundling in the OS. You can buy systems without bloatware, and systems to YOUR specifications and design.

Firstly, it no less efficient than an Apple OS. If not more efficient depending on what your doing. Complexity brings choice, freedom. Not everything should be as minimalistic and for the stupid as possible.

I'm talking about the frameworks that make up the most popular OS's. Obviously Windows has a very complicated framework for a reason. It's going to be able to utilize your hardware a lot better than any Unix distro. And what does customization have to do with it, that's mere GUI. That's child's play coding.
I can say I'm an OCZ fanboy for my computer parts :P, I think they make awesome products, not just top performing, but cool looking to.
Because the benchmarks already show that Windows 7 is capable of running on netbooks.
How old is your hard drive? Sounds like your system files are becoming corrupted after a while. There's no possible reason for Windows to stop working just from not being used for a few weeks.
@aueslander: Then I guess every Mac should come with a Dual boot to Windows? Lol. The whole dual boot argument is flawed, because were talking about Mac as the majority of consumers would use them. The majority of people don't even know about dual booting, let alone Boot Camp or VMWare.

Depends what your definition of superior is. As an OS, Linux is far from superior. It's merely a MUCH more basic construct of an Operating System than Windows is. There are a lot less things that can conflict with third party software, or for virus's to attach themselves to. But with that comes much less functionality and ease of use.
Sorry but, just because your setup crashes sometimes, doesn't mean everyone else's does. I'm not lying about my system never crashing anymore. The updates over the years have made Windows XP quite stable. If you don't have service pack 3, then you really should update to it.

And beside that point, the sheer performance increase of the GT300 would stand as woopin some ass. And like pretty much every generation, Nvidia has held the performance crown. While ATI holds the price crown.

Umm lol? Gif's don't need a program to open. They open just like jpeg, bmp, png, etc.. in Windows. And the Combined Community Codec Pack with Media Player classic is the best player you can get. As it supports pretty much every format/codec ever created lol. Even Apple's .MOV files. Plus it's free and open source.

Nvidia does do quality control. There isn't any possible more quality control they can do. Really these people are just shooting Nvidia in the foot for something it has NO CONTROL OVER.
But I think this story is about Nvidia not choosing to replace the products, which they should do.
