Yeah I agree about the left. But the right seems to have an even nicer body, and seems like she might be a wild girl :P, so I'd choose her.
Well that's your opinion. But the main reason for Microsoft marketting DX10 so much was because it was tied in with Windows Vista. So they had to do everything they could to market it. Now when it comes to DX11, they don't need to so much for Windows 7, since it works on Vista and 7.
I've also personally looked at the spec sheet for DX11 and I can say with complete confidence that it will bring much better performance and more awesome games for developers that utilize it. The genera...
Yep, there's no real point comparing them. Natal is the next step in gaming, while Sony's is living in the past with Wii tech.
Well the thing about Microsoft's Natal system, is that the camera actually has it's own dedicated processor, so if MS wanted, they could put a bright ball on a stick like Sony did, and do the exact same type of Demo, well actually, an even better demo, because Natal can track distance, not just judge distance by image color and gyroscope. So Sony isn't really bringing anything amazing to the table, it's basically MotionPlus combined with Eye-Toy.
I'm excited to see where Natal go...
This isn't fetal stem cells. That's what anti-stem cell people are against. Using dead fetus's for stem cells. And their against that because their against abortion. And their against abortion because instead of taking a smart scientific view of the situation, they take a religious/spiritual view.
It's all ridiculous, and those people need to stop sticking their personal beliefs into real science.
How is that relevant? Time to buy another video card just because DX11 came out? You don't buy a new GPU for your console, now do you? So why would you have to on the PC? It's only if you WANT TO. The kind of choice you don't have on a console, you just have to wait for the next generation console.
Sigh, didn't you even read the article richierich?
Unlike DX10, DX11 brings a whole slew of performance improvements and advanced features for more detailed and efficient graphics. This is something that the industry is going to want to take advantage of.
DX10 also partly failed due to the failure of Vista. But Windows 7 is going strong and is native DX11. So if Windows 7 does become a success, which all signs show it's going to be. Then there will be a lot more incentive ...
Huh? The Xbox 360 uses a DirectX 9 GPU from ATI. It doesn't have any extra coding features.
Nah, the PS3 doesn't use DirectX. Even though it's GPU would have been capable of it, as it was based on the Nvidia Geforce 7800. Since DirectX is a Microsoft framework, I believe their would be some legal issues.
Oh look, another ignorant fanboy!
You don't seem to understand how PC gaming works. You don't have to upgrade every year or so. That's only if you want to play with better graphics than you already do.
Let's say I have a computer that runs games around the same quality as your Xbox 360. Then I can treat my computer just like you do your console. I don't have to upgrade my parts, just like you don't have to on your console, there's no freaking difference or reason I would h...
Yes, the Xbox has a DirectX capable GPU. But it's only DirectX 9 capable, and shader model 3.0 capable.
So users will have to wait for the next generation Xbox if they want DX 11 on their console.
Well, my as well ban all search engines from working on the iPhone as well right? Since they all link to objectionable content lol.
Another step closer to being able to have almost entirely transparent computing devices, and embedding computers in almost anything we want. So awesome. And a memristor to boot, even more awesome.
Awesome. Can't wait for tech like this to become mainstream. Probably only about 5 years away! :)
As an outsider who owns neither console but has tried them, I can say that what you said is fanboy bullshit.
The 360 being more user friendly is objective. I'd say the PS3 seems more user friendly actually, especially with all it's extra non-gaming features.
Online play for the PS3 is free, while your charged for it on the 360. Server performance is irrelevant also, since were talking about how well made a console is, not the servers it connects to. But none the less...
Because DX10 didn't bring a whole lot more useful stuff that DX9 didn't already have. Most of the time DX10 wasn't needed. But DX11 brings numerous improvements that will be very useful for developers, making them want to use it. Much better support for multiple core CPU's, more efficient use of GPU's, support for going general computing on GPU's, and tessellation. These are all improvements that will make a huge impact on what developers will be able to do with their games.
I wonder if they truly didn't know that the stuff they were washing off was thermal paste. And I hope that they had applied new thermal paste. Because if not, then no duh the red lights are going to come back on. You need thermal paste to create a bond between a processor and a heatsink, so heat can be transferred efficiently.
Buying some nice quality Arctic 5 thermal paste and applying it would have probably fixed the problem lol.
Yeah, Stem cells are pretty awesome. Going to be great once adult stem cell use becomes viable and mainstream. A lot of peoples problems could be fixed with little effort.
It was a very nice read. DirectX 11 is going to be great!
But it's hilarious how much AMD employees stroke themselves and their company. It's like hearing a new report from North Korea. Ignoring the outside world and acting like your the best thing in the world. It's hilarious.
You know.. Because it would be so hard for Microsoft to bundle a stick with a bright ball on it, right?
Puhlease people. Your nit picking at problem that doesn't exist.
Want feedback for a racing game? Bundle a little steering wheel shaped piece of plastic like they did for Mario Kart. It's not hard.
With Natal all the tech is in place, and any controllers can easily be created for use with it. It's hardly a big deal at all. Microsoft will most likely come out wi...
