Those billion dollar losses have to be hurting Sony. It's a good thing they were able to sell that building last year to cusion the blow a little.

I never played TLOU and only watched others play it and saw half the game on youtube so I'm very excited for this next gen version. My hope is they can atleast add some new content for people who have already beat the game though.
The price drop certainly makes things more interesting and more balanced, but Microsoft really should have made this move much earlier when they 1st started doing 180's. Now the gap between PS4 and Xbone is so wide it could take them many years if ever to close it. One thing I think would close the gap rather quickly atleast in the US is 399/ Halo 5 holiday bundle. Xbox fans are crazy about Halo and as much as I love PlayStation I'm not certain if Sony could match it.
In all honesty if Sony and Microsoft were to join forces and create a console together, that would be the best thing to ever happen in gaming.
I'm not much of an Xbox fan but good for Microsoft. Haters and fanboys can say what they want but something had to be done. Though the decision may not be popular I feel it was the right one. The only thing I can say about it is they should have removed the Kinect a lot sooner. That was just another one of Don Mattricks blunders so good riddance.
It's a pretty sad reality Sony is facing. On one side you have the PS4 that's doing so well, and on the other you have Sony failing as a company overall. Uncharted 4, The Order 1886, The Last of Us PS4 version, they all look damn good to me.

It really all depends on how much you value the Kinect.
That's the problem it's too much relying on the gaming press to do it's dirty work. It's not the same as an actual conference ran by Nintendo that millions of gamers will be watching. At the end of the day the gaming industry is still a business and Nintendo is missing out on important exclusive publicity by not holding their own conferences for the world to see.
A good start would be Nintendo having an actual conference at E3 with games to show. Don't get me wrong I think Nintendo direct is pretty cool, but it's too isolated and reaches towards only a small audience.
I do think that 1080p 60fps is important in games but I don't think it's as big of a deal as people make it out to be. In the end a great game is still a great game. In my opinion I see Morpheus and Oculus as two completely different experiences now, however I like the concept of both. I like the deal with Facebook and Oculus because I travel quite a bit and spend a lot of time away from home. Facebook has in a way opened a new avenue for staying in touch that didn't used to exist. Wow Xbox One is starving for games. It really does seem like Microsoft put all their chips into TitanFall, because from March all the way till June they have a total of 9 games coming out. That's a pretty long drought, especially if your not into online shooters. I'm not sure what their strategy is even regarding E3, but even the biggest Xbox fans have to admit that list is quite scrawny.
