Honestly I don't have no beef with Don Mattrick. In my opinion he personified what Microsoft is all about. Sure his comments had douche and A hole written all over them but that's classic Microsoft for you. They had to get rid of him because through him people were starting to see the BS for what it really is. And it's typical for Microsoft to try and hide the truth and sugar coat it so everything looks fine, when in reality it's not. In this case it was letting their own CEO ...

Seems like Japan just doesn't care much for consoles anymore. They prefer everything portable now. What Media Crate doesn't show is that mobile SmartPhone games trumps them all in sales even the popular 3DS. Japan is just a tough nut to crack.

I'm still shocked that Square did that, but then again Tomb Raider was originally a Eidos property so I guess they just don't give a shit and was looking for a quick buck. It's sad too because Tomb Raider was definitely on the right track to turning the franchise around, then they go and alienate the bulk of it's own fanbase. With a total of 5 million units shipped, Tomb Raider is lucky if it sells 1 million. Obviously it's a timed exclusive but what a lot of these compani...

I don't know why Microsoft wastes money on timed exclusives as if they can just buy all their problems away. All it does is make them look weak and gamers aren't stupid. I really do think they got exclusive rights to Tomb Raider out of fear that Sony would start dropping bombs. Xbox one should quit trying to avoid it's fate and just embrace it.

Robin Williams was a very special guy and one of a kind. I've always loved his movies and he just added something very special to movies that you don't see too much of anymore. Jumanji, Hook, Toys, What Dreams may Come, to name a few were some of my favorites but there is so many more. Honestly I been fighting back tears today everytime i think about him. It's almost as if my favorite uncle passed away. Rest in peace Robin Williams, you really are the Pan! ( quoted from Hook )

How can you say this is a good move by Microsoft? Have you already forgotten about all the backlash they've had in recent years? They were finally starting to rekindle their image and now this. It's pretty sad a company as big as Microsoft don't have the skill to develop creative new IP's, the only thing they know how to do is fight with their wallet.

That's some BS, and I was really starting to like Tomb Raider again. I'm so sick of all these greedy companies. Microsoft and Square can both kick rocks. Have fun selling with your 5 million shipped fanbase.

It just seems like there's no pleasing some gamers. You'll just always find something new to complain about no matter what the devs do. Maybe gaming isn't really your niche, because some of guys just act like a bunch of politicians.

Perhaps it's just me but it seems like Gamescom is going to be better than E3 this year, at least for PS4.

Once upon a time I would have agreed with this article, but ever since I started gaming on PC and experimented with the video settings the, the authors point couldn't be further from the truth. The resolution and frame rate makes a huge difference in almost any game especially if your playing on larger screens. However gamers need to realize that consoles have a limited cap of power. Even PS4 at it's very best can only do so much, and for more graphically intensive games sometimes sac...

Now that you mention it, this game probably would benefit from a re-release. It really is an amazing game and deserves more attention than it's received. It sorta reminds me of Shenmue with a GTA twist.

I don't know man, I have Sleeping Dogs on PC and it looks fantastic to me. Graphically it's on par with Watch Dogs. Not sure how much worse the console versions looked but I think this is just a big waste of time. I'd rather them work on a sequel instead.

How about a HD remake of Onimusha or bushido blade or something? Sleeping Dogs looks good enough as it is, as did The Last of Us, and Tomb Raider. I think these devs are just trying to milk now.

I thought this was a major selling point for PS4 during launch. Considering Xbox One originally didn't consider vets with the Always online regional DRM, and their advice was to get a 360. They made PS4 look more appealing without Sony doing anything.

Yeah that's what I meant actually I'm gonna correct it.

I respect your comment and I hope Microsoft has learned a lesson. They came in making all the wrong moves and it's puzzling because they had a birds eye view of what happened to PS3 that attempted the same only in a different way. I think Xbox one just needs to reinvent itself and it's noticeable that they are trying. I really think all it takes is one more price drop along with Halo 5 and sales could boom.

My guess is at Gamescom Sony announces they've sold over 10 million and that's a really insane milestone when you consider how quickly they've reached it. I remember when PS4 launched and sold over a million in 24hrs. The thought was they would at least sell 10 million in it's 1st year, but from the looks of things they could very well finish the year at 14 million by years end once you factor in the holiday rush.

Please make it happen. Kratos takes on the Abyss.

I completely agree with this article and is generally how I view the Xbox One. I own a mid range gaming PC and see no reason to buy an Xbox one. It's as if almost every major selling point for the XOne has contradicted itself, and it all started with the 180's. Now we're even seeing a 180 on their own exclusives which in my opinion was the last real argument they had. Titan Fall, Dead Rising 3, Ryse, Plants vs Zombies, to name a few are all games that were touted as major reasons ...
