I'm actually pretty psyched about it. Finally something I can use my 4k HDR TV for besides netflix and Youtube.
Being a game developer isnt easy, that's why i think sometimes gamers are too hard on devs at times. It's a dog eat dog business.
Edit: "Dog eat dog" silly auto correct lol
At $500+ the only way Scorpio will be able to compete with the Pro is the graphics will literally have to blow people away. The bottom line is people want to save money. They want to be able to have a high-end experience, without having to sell their car to do it.
I'm glad PS4 Pro comes out this year, I'm getting it at launch.
Looks like a nice update, HDR coming too.
Thanks for the info. I'm gonna check the site out.
I have a high end 4k HDR LG Television set and I'm just not seeing that big of a difference with HDR. In my opinion it's not much different than any other picture setting. In fact my TV actually has settings that look better than HDR depending on whats being viewed. I feel like HDR is mainly a gimmick thats being used to push the market to people who havent actually see it yet. I mean it does look cool depending on what your watching but the again the same goes for every other picture...
I like the idea of PS4 Pro and the games looked great, but I must say the lack of a Ultra HD Blu-ray player is very disappointing. That's like imagining PS1 without the CD player. I know they were aiming to keep the console at a consumer friendly price, but i think they would have been better off including the 4k player and selling it around 450. I did like the PS4 HDR update announcement though. That's gonna be cool if you have a HDR capable TV.
Horizon looks epic.
Kill Zone 2 really was epic. I wouldnt even mind a remaster for PS neo.
What i cant never figure out is these company's would remaster games that dont even need remastering like, Tomb Raider, RE4, to name a few but the games that actually would make sense to remaster like Shemue, mass effect to name a few they need to think about. It's crazy
That all depends on which version of Xbox One you own, which the majority still own the original Xbox One. So the answer is yes and no.
Dude you must be extremely picky. Seems pretty good for a beta, and 900P? I was enjoying it so much I didn't even notice or care. lol
I'm ready!
Does it even matter at this point? PS4 gamers are going to play this on PS4 and Xbox One gamers are going to play this on Xbox one. The difference is so minor that you could barely notice unless they're side by side and your actively looking for a difference. Soon scorpio and neo will be out and then this argument becomes even more irrelevant.
Drive Club VR is turning out to be the killer app PlayStation VR needed for launch. it might very well be the killer app that VR as a whole needed.
I think the whole hype about 4k gaming is being overblown. I would be satisfied just having a more powerful, graphically capable console that can run games at a stable 1080p 60fps. I also think 450 would be a reasonable price for such a console and the mock-ups don't even look that bad. Gamers this generation seem extremely finicky and difficult to please. Like the way the console looks is going to directly affect the experience you have playing the games.
$60 for PS Plus is a lot of money. That's more than my cell phone bill and most basic cable/internet plans. And then they're only giving people 2 games a month for PS4 yet expect people to pay for another expensive service, PS now if you dont have a PS3 anymore. It's little things like this that has me leaning more towards Microsofts new vision of Xbox every where. While its true Xbox One did screw up big time when it launched, it now appears they've gotten their act together ...
Darksiders 2 was a diamond in the rough. A lot of people slept on this series.
I guess people can see the future now. A lot of things can happen between now and when the Scorpio releases. There's never been a sure winner in any generation. At the start of this one people thought Xbox would win for sure because of the success of 360. Same happened with PS3 after the success of PS2.
