Horizon still looks pretty good on PS4, just saying. Unless you have an 4k HDR TV you won't even be able to see all the differences. Even then Horizon will still have HDR on OG Ps4
PS4 Pro games will still be 30fps though. May as well just stick with OG PS4 and save some money.
I think whats really at work here is basic sociology class conflict. A lot of people still can't afford 4k HDR TV's, nor do they want to upgrade which is perfectly fine as long as you're comfortable with your current LCD TV. For those that fit in that category 4k Bluray doesnt really pertain to them so it's not a feature that's desired by that respective class. However if you actually do own a 4k HDR TV you can see the value in having a 4k Bluray player, because even thoug...
Thats not what im saying at all. It just appears to me that some people have already counted Xbox scorpio out of the equation without even knowing much about it. For all you know it could very well blow your expectations out the window, but a lot of people arent even giving it a chance, just read all these comments. And how does saying keep your options open sound fanboyish? What i'm saying is i'm currently a PS4 owner but i'm at least willing to see what Microsoft has to offer be...
It is sad. From a business perspective I understand what Sony's doing, but from a gamers perspective I don't see how people can praise them for it. Sony is doing exactly the same things Microsoft did with the 360.
It is intriguing how so many people automatically know that Scorpio is gonna fail and it's still a year away from release. The same could be said of PS4 Pro succeeding which hasn't been released yet. If anything people are more skeptical of the Pro being that it's been advertised as a 4k game console that can't actually play games in 4k or play 4k movies. They were borderline false advertising if it wasn't for 4k streaming which really isnt nothing, because chances are if ...
It really is sad how both these supposed next gen consoles XBox One and PS4 can barely hit a consistent 1080p 60fps. Now even they're supposed updated versions Xbox One S and PS4 Slim/ Pro still aren't reaching it but yet they want another $300+ from consumers. All this talk about 4k and HDR yet none of these consoles are even hitting 1080p 60fps. I've reached the conclusion that this generation really is all about the money and these companies are just low balling gamers. Both Xb...
Edit
As usual with Nintendo I'm gonna hold my breath, but im not foolish enough to count them out either. They're a company full of surprises. Just when you think their finished they drop a bomb like the Wii, DS, pokemon go, etc.
I guess its only naturally for people to get some bugs after an update. Personally my PS4 works just fine and I love the update. The interface is a lot more cleaner and organized. Hope everyone who's having problems gets them resolved soon.
I agree with all this. I been thinking of holding off on the Pro myself since OG Ps4 got the HDR update. In my opinion HDR is actually more noticeable than 4k, but I'm taking a wait and see approach.
I'm so ready for 4k gaming with HDR. This even looks good on a 1080p screen.
Maybe I'm experiencing deja vu, but it seems like n4g keeps showing the same articles lol
I think the lack of a 4k bluray drive is a slight oversight. The bottom line is these days people barely buy physical media. if this were the 1990's or even early 2000s that would be a different story, but nowadays it's far easier and cheaper and even sometimes free to stream videos that physical media is becoming a thing of the past with the exceptions being games. By going this route Sony was able to deliver a better overall console at an affordable price.
Technically the Scorprio is already out. For the same price that Scorpio will likely cost you can already get a PC with similar or better performance at the same price with the same games and you can even use an Xbox controller if it makes you feel more at home. Xbox play anywhere, you can even play Halo and all new Xbox games are coming to PC. So basically the same argument this article makes about skipping Ps4 Pro and waiting for Scorpio can be made about skipping Scorpio and getting a PC t...
You do have a point, and there's really no rush if you already own a PS4. I think alot of the hate on PS4 Pro comes from people getting the message mixed up. This isn't PS5 it's still a PS4 but with improved features.
He's right on a lot of points. If you have a 4k TV chances are your going to want a PS4 Pro. It would have been nice to have a 4k bluray drive, but honestly I can't even remember the last time I actually bought a DVD other than games.
Personally I'm really looking forward to PS4 Pro. Just being able to play games in 4k and HDR is enough for me. It would have been nice to have a 4k bluray drive, but honestly I can't even remember the last time I actually bought a DVD other than games. It's also pretty cool that all PS4's are now HDR capable it's just too bad there's nothing available yet that takes advantage of it. HDR really does make a difference, it makes everything look more alive.
If you already own a PS4 but don't have an Ultra HD 4k HDR TV set then your better off sticking with the PS4. It's just not worth it to get a Pro in your case because even though there will be improvements, you wont be able to see all the best enhancements without the proper tech. And there's really no rush anyway because there's still a lot of great games coming out for PS4. Just be happy with what you have, don't be quick to buy into all the hype, and be smart with your ...
If Battlefield 1 runs at 30 fps on PS4, it will also run at 30 fps on the Pro. It can do 60 fps but because Sony wants to maintain parity with PS4 to not be "unfair" it will still do 30. I think this is a point that a lot of PS4 players looking to upgrade are overlooking, and rightfully so seeing as how Sony intentionally didn't state that clearly. Listen i love my PS4 and I'm not trying to diss the PS4 Pro. I'm just stating facts so people dont be deceived. I'm not ...
