I feel like the Scorpio will be yet another case of a powerful console that developers rarely take advantage of. Most devs and publishers look for ports because it's easier and cheaper to do. The only games I imagine that will really take advantage of the systems power is 1st party with Forza being cream of the crop.
PS4 Pro is gonna be cool. No it's not PS5 but games will still look amazing on the machine. I think it's worth the money especially if you use your original PS4 for trade in value.
Then you have to spend even more for games smh
Not saying this is a good review by any means, but it's like I've said. The more hype a game gets the more likely it is to be a disappointment.
One thing I've learned this generation is the more a game is hyped up, the greater the chance you'll be disappointed.
This is actually true. I have a 4k television but I must say upscaled 1080p looks pretty darn amazing, especially if you haven't really seen it before. I've been watching 4k long enough to know the difference but it isn't as vast as some people would lead you to believe. I think HDR is a lot more noticeable as well. Infact I would even say upscaled 1080p with HDR looks better than native 4k without HDR. but if they did that it would defeat the purpose of 4k.
Thats N4G for you. Gamers jump ship fast lol
This game is definitely on my radar
So you can predict the future now? You really think they're dumb enough to launch a console at $600 bucks when people barely want to pay $400 bucks for one? Dude you are a true fan boy.
Hell Blade and Aragami both look fantastic.
It's pretty sad how you can get downvoted for speaking logical.
I'm in the same boat as you. I was really hoping that PS4 Pro had a 4k bluray player and i actually own a 4k HDR TV. However I mostly stream and download everything now all accept games which is why I can overlook it's absence. But still I'm gonna wait until I can see some games running on the console in person at a local gamestop or bestbuy to see for myself if the improvements are worth it. it's hard to get a feel for it just watching these videos. I'm very much satisfi...
Captain_Tom, It wasn't my intention to insult anyone and i apologize if I said something that was out of line. All I'm trying to say is I dont think there's anything wrong with building a PC if you have the cash, but what gets to me is sometimes PC gamers belittle console gamers because they either can't afford it or don't want to spend that kind of money on a gaming PC.
PC is and always will be a niche market. The average consumer isn't looking to spend 1000s on hardware just so a game can look extra pretty when you can buy a console that will do exactly the same thing for 400 bucks. And not everyone is broke either. I myself can afford a gaming PC if I chose but I presonally feel it's a waste of money that is better utilized in other areas in my life. Having said that if you do have the bread for it and that's your hobby more power to you. it...
Yet, the NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1080 8GB alone cost 700 dollars compared to 400 dollars for the PS4 Pro console. That's not including the additional cost for all the rest of the components adding up well over $1200 and that's being modest. You PC guys are insane if you think people are looking to spend that much money just to play a video game. Most people don't even care about 4k gaming anyway. The package you're getting for PS4 Pro will satisfy most gamers needs all except for t...
I'm gonna sit out the PS4 Pro for a while. I think it's a pretty good console but there's a lot of good games for PS4 coming out around the same time like Dishonored 2, Battliefield 1, WatchDogs 2, etc. and games aren't cheap. I also think the Pro has taken attention away from PlayStation VR as well. Personally i think Sony should have waited until sometime next year for PS4 Pro and focused more on selling their VR platform which is already difficult enough to advertise. Now ...
I've had my disagreements with PS4 Pro but when you actually consider everything you're getting for 400 bucks it's really not bad at all. Much is made of it not having a built in 4k bluray player or being able to play native 4k games, but when you consider how much it will cost to build that on a PC then the PS4 Pro becomes one heck of a bargain. Just the GPU alone required to play 4k games cost a lot more than the entire console itself. Thats not including Ram, the 4k blu ray dri...
I've learned to hold my breath on any Nintendo console. I really do hope the NX does well because I would like to play some Nintendo games again. However I'm not about to waste money on a console with no third party support, waiting several months for one game to release at a time. I'll withhold my final judgement until it's a officially revealed by Nintendo.
Deep down, I need to take a dump
Those are the type of games I'm waiting to see in VR
