I doubt there are any bids from either nintendo or sony because they are not stupid enough to buy a third party company that develop on multi platforms only to significantly limit it's potential by making it release for one console.

No not boycott that's just running away, i say we push hard for the console to be HACKED .That will remove all the offline crap , play the games of those greedy company for free to get back at them and make the console bend to us. that will feel like a great justice by shoving it in the ass of MS and EA and others who intend to follow. we should start by doing a fundraiser as a prize to the first group that can accomplish this . Those saying that this is not true and is just a rumor , sorry to disappoint you but IT IS TRUE and CONFIRMED , oh by who ??? and when ?? by Microsoft themselves more than a year ago(or two) it's just that so much time has passed that people kind of forgot about it , but the ducment that was leaked in 2012(which at that time was already more than a year old) said that the new machine will feature the 360 SOC for backward compatibility.

Also if those rumors are indeed true and there's a 360 SOC inside that can work in parallel with the new xbox chips then you can look forward to playing all of your 360 games in true 1080P (not just scaled) and with probably enhanced AA and improved frame rate .
Well , with this you can use either normal OR rechargeable batteries , it's much better to have options .
Villages?? populated by what ? friendly NPCs and quest givers ? , oh and horse riding ? in a Souls game where you are supposed to be absolutely alone at all times?!! . guild wars 2 or wow won't disappoint you in that case. But Dark Souls shall never be like that.
