"So I felt that your comment about it being the best tactical shooter on console didn't really have much to do with the pc review did it?

-kramun"

Its still the same game. So yes i'd say my opinion is relevant no matter what platform this review is for. As is anybody else's.

Its a crap review. The guy basically went into it intending to write a poor review. Its clear as day what with all the misinformation and making fea...

Its a bit low. I would've given it a 8.5

Its a really decent tactical shooter. Not a military sim any more, but a very fun and realistic feeling combat game. Definitely worth getting if you like Rainbow Six Vegas, Brothers in Arms or GRAW.

Its a nice change of pace from CoD and BF.

Good review. I agree with every word.

I love the balance between military sim and CoD arcade shootin. Its a real nice change of pace compared to pretty much every other shooter on console.

Great game imo.

Huh?! Was I complaining because it wasn't a multi platform review?

No I dont think I was. I think... I was actually making a point that if the version I played on console was decent, then the PC version cant be that far behind.

Oh unless you are taking this into platform warrioring territory, in which case knock yourself out, and have a wonderful and utterly pointless argument with someone else that cares.

Crap review. I'd have taken it a bit more seriously if they'd hit it with a 75 or even 65, but 45. lol. Thats ludicrous. The vehicles having flat tires is a feature you dimwit!

May not be up to the superior high standards of PC. But its the best tactical shooter on console imo. Better than GRAW and R6: Vegas.

@ dead_eye. Why shouldn't longevity be factored into reviews?

Its just as important as how the game looks or plays. For some gamers who cant afford to purchase every AAA game that comes out a year, its vital information that can make a huge impact on the their purchasing decision.

I remember back in the days of games magazines like Zzap 64 they used to have a lastability rating alongside graphics, sound and gameplay.

There aren't too ...

Awesome. Really looking forward to this.

I wish people would just allow others to have their say about a game. So what if they don't like it. Not everybody has to love Portal 2.

I'm sticking to my negative metacritic review. I thought it poor value for money. I wont bend to peer pressure and become a mindless sheep.

The truth is, its not the first Valve game to displease me in its bare minimum approach to content. Both L4D and the original Half-Life 2 releases also were very short "low...

But this BF has SP.

This article is about SP.

EDIT: I'm not directing at the fans. I'm directing at the developers and publishers. I'm a SP gamer, I dont care about MP anymore unless its coop. I feel MP is killing real games.

It doesn't matter that BF2 started out life as a purely MP only game. As a shooter fan, I played that game extensively, i'm saying i'm tired of that now. Please try something new and refreshing. ...

When you've played a hundred linearly scripted FPS's, the interest value starts to wane. Thats why we need sandbox in our shooters. CoD milking killed the linear shooter.

MP is a cancer thats killing real games.

BioShock 1 & 2, Stalker series, Crysis 1 & 2, Far Cry, Far Cry 2, Borderlands Fallout 3 & NV. Oh yeah I see what ya mean. No sandbox there.

Ha I knew it. And this is why I'm not buying it.

Crysis 2 had a very nice balance between freedom and scripted thumb twiddling linear boredom.

*NEWS FLASH* Crysis 2 is awesome!!

5442d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

If it had MP, you probably would have only played it once.

5448d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

There is always an expense to SP. ALWAYS!

Even when two different development houses are working on the separate components. The funding is split between the two rather than put all in on one mode.

5448d ago 0 agree2 disagreeView comment

The SP wouldn't have been 4 hours long had it not been for all the time and effort spent on MP. You cannot have your cake and eat it!

MP is a cancer. Its slowly killing games.

Publishers and developers need to stop wasting time, money and resources on it. And focus on making a great standalone game experience, with some longevity.

If they wanna make a standalone MP game instead, then go ahead. But dont try to do everything. Its just brings the entire thing down.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't stop there either. Bioware's recent games have been extremely average imo, at least compared to a lot of other stuff around. Yet they keep getting very high professional critic scores on meta-critic?

Seems really shady to me. I'm almost certain there's some vote swaying going on behind the scenes. Ive been playing games far too long to know an 85% scoring game compared to a 95%

I still remember the ME review wher...
