Im not talking about xbox games being upscaled, im talking about using the xbox upscaler to upscale ps4 games.

I love Team ICO, and each delay has its own story, that will never change. However making grandiose statements about dates and large count downs clocks set you up for disappointment.

What they should say is the game will come out ready. Aggressive release dates only set yourself up for failure and poor gameplay experiences. Expect a significant day 1 patch and a lot of defects.

xbox also has a pass through hdmi in port which can upscale to 4k. Meaning you can upscale your 1080p ps4 signal to 4k. Theres no such thing as almost native, its either native or not, so until there are videos comparing ps4 pro to hdr ps4 upscaled, i am going to be skeptical.

HDR is coming to OG ps4 for free as well. With the purchase of a stand alone 4k upscaler why do we need pro?

LOL wow. for all of you justifying this, shame on you. I dont know who is in charge of things at playstation these days but this doesnt seem like the same team that released the ps4 in 2013. Ive defended playstation since ive been on this site, but there comes time when enough is enough and you cannot keep defending these game delays.

I have an lg oled tv, an original PlayStation that will soon have hdr. It's cheaper right now for me to buy an Xbox s and use it as a pass through upscaler or an upscale box than it is to buy a pro. If there are no real reasons to upgrade from a gameplay experience (I'd be running 4K upscaled with HDR) why do I need to buy a pro?

As long as consoles stay backwards compatible they could release it anytime they want. However, they would need to focus on making true distinctions between them, and there simply aren't enough new AAA games in the mix to justify a new console. PC flourishes because users can upgrade individual parts at their leisure. Consoles are all in one boxes, it just strikes a different cord in your mind when there is an upgrade available.

Yea... Sony showed me what they can do by offering a low quality stream to show the difference in picture quality lol. They had their chance, now it's microsofts turn to show they not only have a beast of a console, but they can showcase the true differences with gameplay and new games.

why the hell did sony show shadow of mordor and infamous lol?! no one is going back to play those games because of the colors. what ms can do is highlight the gameplay improvements,framerate and draw distance comparisons. dont show old ass games and make sure the presenters arent just suits reading teleprompters. know your audience, and if you know its going to be a boring business conference dont stream it to the public. im so pissed at sony..

First of all hdr is a standard, there is no such thing as true hdr. the color gamut varies depending on which standard you support, in addition the hdmi port may not need to be 2.x to support a standard of hdr. that being said, sony will probably implement hlg hdr as they have upgraded their own tvs to support this standard. hdr10 has a higher adoption rate but that doesnt equate to one being more true than the other.
