i think it shows us that gaming has evidently lost its fun factor. fps/moba/and open world games have pigeon hold the industry into tunnel vision to the point where games like parappa would never be considered unless it was indie. i am hopeful that this is a sign of the times for this type of thinking and 1st/2nd party studios realize you can make fun/simple games and still be profitable.

@FinalFantasyFanatic

no you dont need an expensive build, but the fact that this has 2 controllers built in, hdmi support, external controller support for xbox controllers. can take a multitap for ps3 controllers, triggers on the side for the insane amount of pinball games, and all of the dreamcast/segasaturn/ps1/2/ unknown console emulated games working, well to me thats worth the money.

@meche334

that one has the least amount of games. the one im talking about is an I7 quadcore.

if you have the money

http://www.tinyarcademachin...

the most expensive one is $3200, but comes with 69 thousand games and has hdmi output and controller inputs. plus triggers on the side for pinball games if thats your thing. Im definitely saving up for it.

Id prefer a remake of the original Dreamcast Soul Calibur. The fighting mechanics were much more fluid, almost like moving art. IGN's only 10/10 fighting game till this day i think.

i never played this before. i played the demo at least 6 times now. My son absolutely loves the story as well. Bravo Sony, you have a hit with this one!!!

you do know they are changing the combat in VII to be like XV right?

ps4 because it has a future.

i think turn based is much better than real time. the demo of this always make me feel like im a chicken with my head cut off, fighting randomly but not really making an impact. to the people who have played it, does it still have that feeling?

yea, pretty much. I'm looking at all the reviews across the board. I told myself i wouldn't preorder it, just like I'm not preordering the last guardian. No Man's Sky still lingures in my mind and I don't want to get burnt again.

As long as this has an average of 8 ill pick it up at some point. To be completely honest I'm disappointed already. The games been in development for 10 years. I expected a masterpiece, not a "good game" Hence why ...

What about people who are under 18 and can't make the decision to move somewhere that has internet?

3454d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

Not looking good so far. As long as it doesn't get any 6 /10. That would be laughable.

3454d ago 0 agree24 disagreeView comment

Cmon, if you've been working on a game for 10 years for it to get a 8/10 "it's good" something is seriously wrong.

I really hope this humbles SE and they invest more in 2.5d jrpgs with an epic and hilarious story, rotatable isometric views, a fun battle system,memorable characters and an ending that makes you want to cry.

Sorry I thought it was 1995.

Lol you really really don't want to have this convo about Sony. Yes they have staples, but the list of established and new ips completely shits on both Nintendo and ms combined. Please do a lookup on Sony exclusives (I don't care if it's on PS4/PS3/PC/vita/psp/ps2. Can't get it on ms or Nintendo consoles) before saying anything else.

Just bought a sega Saturn and a mini framemeister to replay some rpgs.

I think it speaks to the lack of immersion in these games. As people get older their reason for playing becomes more complicated.

When you are young you are easily satisfied by fast moving action and A to B objectives.

As you get older ( 30+) lots of people consciously want to like the games they've played in the past, but they may be too simplistic to care about finishing.

I think games that involve the player emotionally are the ones...

the titles would sit on the shelves like all of the other great ms games of the past. This cycle you have gears halo forza. That's what ms wants to be. Annual releases of the same games and half assed attempts to create good ips.

I see Sony being more eager to come in if this was possible. Sure they couldn't match ms pocketbook, but they have shown to care about new ips and both companies are Japanese. That's a big deal to them.
