Wont flop because of the game it'll flop because its on Xbox. # 1 for the first week then # 7, 11, etc.. No real way to get a return on investment on that platform. It's a shameful tragedy when you think about it, all thinks considered..
I played vita, I didn’t like the control knobs and kept comparing it to a ps4. Doesn’t happen with Nintendo hardware.
The color scheme, games and mascots of Nintendo appeal to adults as well as children who beg and beg for Nintendo devices while ps handheld colors and games we’re always marketed to older audiences but failed to impress since that audience prioritizes graphics along with experiences.
Most vr ”games” are just experiences and end up feeling like shovelware.
People can’t play hardware, it’s why Xbox is so far behind. PS owners gave it a chance with psvr but the software will need to stand on its own two and have proper games instead of making us fallback in being “cool for vr”. Yes there are exceptions but the overall psvr space is lacking in terms of legit sit down, beginning to end games that we genuinely want to play because it’s a good game.
VR games should build off the flat screen experience and seamlessly integrate VR where it makes sense. We haven’t moved passed the ‘youre actually in the game’ infatuation which is why be titles are lauded as ‘experiences’ and not games.

You forget that the games you mentioned still need to be made at the same bar they’re at now. I do not believe Microsoft is capable keeping these games at their same quality.
Outside of Sony/Nintendo going under I welcome this ‘evolution’. I believe it can be Xbox’s self-inflicted Trojan horse to get the passion back into Sony take more risks with ips.
