LOL, there is an ad on the side of this screen for me that advertising selling Diablo 3 Gold with great customer service!
I beat it once, played the most of the first act in inferno mode or whatever the next highest difficulty is then quit. Just not a whole lot there to keep me coming back for more.
^^ the problem is the system will be so starved for RAM that dedicating most of the CPU resources to game only would be a waste of the CPU. And if the leaked specs are anything to go by then there will be plenty of CPU to spare even if it is only a single thread on one CPU core for the LIVE/dashboard menu functionality.
I really like the idea that some cores will be dedicated to things like the metro/dashboard overlay while playing. No more laggy or delayed menu/options/friends list/invite system while in the middle of a game.
Shinmaster obviously has never played games on a PC if he thinks it is lonely and isolated.
FFS DotA 2 is still in beta and has one of the largest gaming communities EVER. And that isn't even taking into account the fact Steam has its own social network built in.
Then games like D2&D3, WoW, TF2, CounterStrike, Arma 2 (and the Dayz mod!!).. the list continues. VERY active communities.
Sounds cool. But I think I will just wait for August 28th to pick up Guild Wars 2 instead.
I am glad I didn't buy this. I was looking forward to it for a long time. But all the videos, user reviews, and reviews for the game make me glad I held on to my money. This will be F2P in a matter of months it seems.

And yes, the best part about a PC other than being an open platform is that it does a whole hella lot more than gaming.
Steam summer/winter holiday sales are why I own almost 200 games on steam right now. :)

You could build a PC rig close to these specs for really cheap. Especially considering the fact they won't go high end GPU will make it that much cheaper. And a year from now? Those parts will be bargain bin. I call plausible on this article.
I would like to see this move into a stand-alone project. I will throw money at this guy if that happens.

I disagree. Rent/own a server is awesome. Don't like custom game modes/mods/maps/modifiers? Just play on servers that are default map/game modes only with anti-cheat turned on.
Easy as that.

While most gamers have no problem playing games that may not have the best graphics because they are fun or the art direction dictates the less than stellar graphics.
HOWEVER- games that strive for realism such as CoD or RPGs with high end graphics should look as good as possible. And why would I choose to buy a game for the WiiU that looks more realistic on another console?
Graphics are not everything. I agree. But if you are going to buy a game for a system...

No worries. A simple config file change will unlock the FPS cap I am sure. (at least that is usually the case when this sort of thing happens)
