I can afford one and I do. I prefer PC above all else but I still enjoy the consoles once in a while too.
Digital is already here on PC and has been for a long while. MS's dream is not of a digital future but a future where your machine spies on you, reports back with daily reports, and you have no control or ownership of your purchases.
There is a big difference between a "digital future" and a corporate stranglehold on the consumer.
And this is why I say Ubisoft "won" E3. Fantastic games shown.
The thing is MS failed to give the consumer ANY reason to be happy with the DRM policy. With the way they explained it it sounded only restrictions in nature and nothing of benefit.
Had they done something like announce that with the DRM in place you could maybe rent xbox1 games from Gamefly digitally without having to wait for a disc and the serial number is then removed from you account once you "check in" the game for another rental from gamefly or something alon...
I liked it from start of finish. Bought it day one on Steam.
It will be for PC. Not too many Ubisoft games skip the PC platform.
I can't seem to throw enough money at this studio's games. I wish they had got the rights to the Stalker series. I think they would rock it.
Nvidia still trounces AMD in performance. I don't see them going downhill any time soon.
You can without a doubt next gen compare PC and Console specs because the consoles are (mostly) just downgraded (both the Sony and MS machines are running watered down 7970m parts from AMD) off the shelf parts.
The real reason is probably pressure from both MS and Sony to not release just a highly popular title on the PC so that fans are forced to buy a new console in order to play.
Hopefully they fix the cheesy and very badly done character animations before release. But I won't be playing it unless either releases for the PC or the Xbox does a U-turn on policy before release day.
There is no way Fallout will be exclusive to a console.
I feel the same way about Command and Conquer 4 man. I completely 100% understand. When they change a game/franchise you love into something it isn't it does make you upset.
I simply can't wait for the PS4. I won't be buying an X1 unless MS reverses policy/terms of use.
But if I had to pick a "winner" at E3 it would be Ubisoft. They showed the most "next gen" looking games that are not rehashes with better graphics (Watchdogs, The Division!!) and they seem to be setting the bar for what next gen hardware will be capable of.
I just choose to have my pick of Ubisoft being played on the (better!!!) PS4 ...
@Felonycarclub8 - I think every generation of consoles since the PS2 has brought the PC and the consoles closer together and this is certainly no exception. Just look at how many free to play games, MMO/OnlineRPG, and streamed content is being pushed onto the consoles.
Then look at the hardware that is inside of the consoles. A lot of it is just modified off the shelf PC parts. Which is a good thing for all gamers because games will be more optimized for your platform of cho...
Pfft. The Witcher 2 was next gen people. Witcher 3 is next gen with DX11 icing on the cake!
Nothing new. Well, it IS new on consoles. But nothing new to a majority of gamers that have ever played an MMO on the PC. I agree with the Author- it just needs to be good/fun. They don't need to reinvent the wheel here. Just bring a game to an audience (console players) that has never had it available before.
I love that the newest consoles are so MMO/f2P friendly. It really is going to open up the market and expose a lot of players on consoles to new genres while showi...
I never played the first 2 which is probably why I loved how over the top and funny and Saints Row 3 was. It is the only GTA style game I've actually beat since GTA3.
I would love for this to come to the PS4. I would support and buy the product without thinking twice if this were to happen.
It won't be in my house.
@Caffoo01- you are dead wrong. The PC dwarfs the consoles in sales and revenue. Even with the piracy. Here are some articles for proof -
