When you do the breakdown on performance you're paying a much higher price per frame for less than ~2-3% increase in performance.

And AMD has had better multi-monitor support since the 5xxx series launched years ago. Eyefinity was and is still a huge hit, and that is why the new R9 series handles higher rez gaming better than anything in the same class as Nvidia.

Not to mention AMD has monthly driver updates to fix any problems. And my 680GTX has more p...

The storage media doesn't have anything to do with a slow CPU and mediocre GPU trying to push out visuals and large draw distances in a huge open world.

Not to mention the average MMO is made for the lowest common denominator. So it was never meant to look cutting edge.

Let them hate, Reginald. The PC version is the superior version. But it better be seeing as how the other two platforms are 6+ years old.

Although really the only thing that changed was higher rez textures and higher native screen resolution. There isn't any better shader options or lighting effects added to the PC version.

Function over form, buddy. It works extremely well. If you don't like the colors wait for 3rd party designs.

I've had several throughout the years and ATi/AMD has not had any major issues with drivers that also was not apparent on Nvidia platforms at some point or just as frequently.

And unlike Nvidia, AMD has their products all open source so anyone can enjoy them even if they don't purchase AMD and is doing more to move the industry forward than Nvidia ever has.

Been building my own rigs for over 2 decades now. Sometimes ATi had the upper hand and sometimes Nvidia had the upperhand.

Its a back and forth game. But when you account price per performance you get a lot more bang for your buck historically from ATi/AMD than Nvidia.

I feel conflicted about this. Yes I thought the game was great. Fantastic game overall! The story was solid and the gameplay while being nothing new was still "tight" and well done.

But when I think of "game" and leave out the good story and voice acting (the parts of the game that isn't actually gameplay) I can't help but feel that Dark Souls would be my vote for game of the generation based on gameplay mechanics and overall "game-like" pr...

I feel like he thinks that comparing two 3rd person brawlers is basically saying he ripped off GoW. But that is just silly. We've had these types of games in 3D since PS1 one days. (earlier than that on PC!)

And then before that we had action 3rd person 2D going all the way back to the 80s.

This guy needs to relax.

So they changed the character models a little, got rid of PHSYX, and cleaned up the weapon models a tad bit while lowering the quality of AA but still want to charge $60? NO WAY!

I'd much rather play this on my PC. I suck with a gamepad.

Requiring the internet to DOWNLOAD a single player game is a lot different that requiring the internet to PLAY a single player only game. (IE, no multi-player or co-op)

And @thehitman- Steam, humblebundle, and many many other (D2D, Greenmangaming, etc, and etc) sites that sell those indie games "no one has heard of" laugh all the way to the bank and sell millions.

Just because you're a console kiddie doesn't mean the rest of the gaming world...

Most likely so you can't loan out your physical copy then play the streaming version as well.

And if you own a physical copy why would you want the downgraded visuals (the video that is streamed to you is compressed just like every other streaming service) and lag on input?

4547d ago 4 agree0 disagreeView comment

He meant single player games with no online/multiplayer portion.

But it isn't true. The PC indie scene is FULL of offline single player only games. And the PC indie catalog is incredibly larger than that of all consoles. Combined.

This isn't knocking consoles here. Just goes to show why MS is failing so hard this generation. They have no clue what is going on in the games industry or simply don't care and try to force what they FEEL it should be ...

Cost effective? THEY ALREADY ARE MAKING PC VERSIONS OF THESE GAMES! There is ZERO extra R&D!!!!!

4547d ago 1 agree2 disagreeView comment

Why can't it do any of that?

4547d ago 1 agree2 disagreeView comment

They do need a cheaper option in the UK if that is the cheapest available. I feel like it would have a better chance if it competed directly with the X1 in pricing while trouncing all consoles in terms of power, uses, and customization.

I am the exact opposite. I have a PS4, no intention of ever buying an X1, but will be buying a Steam Machine.

lol @ Ouya being vaporware. I know a lot of people that have one. And the games catalogue is quiet large compared to either new console.

And no dev will back them up? That is how ignorant you are. Anyone that makes a game for the PC automatically "backs them up" and since the PC is the lead platform since the games are all made on a x86 for x86 consoles there are going to be a lot "back up" from the devs.

If the Steammachine launched tod...

I like how the compressed-game stream actually makes it seem like it has better anti-aliasing. lol

I picked this up for like ~$4.50 on steam during the winter sale. I really enjoy this game. The built in support for user mods can make it a lot more fun or a lot easier too if you so choose.
