As a long time fan, it becoming a PC exclusive is not what I would call "ruined". However there is always the option later for a port so maybe it isn't all bad news.
don't mind mandf. He is threatened by PC gaming and network success. Obviously, anyone that reads financial reports on gaming related products knows that indie devs make more money on the PC platform.
And mandf's comment "reeks of disdain or lack of knowledge for other networks". :D
Steam is like an indie devs best friend in a lot of ways. At least when it comes to turning a profit.
Yes, there are PC screens - http://media.pc.gamespy.com...
at least they are labelled as being PC. Do a google search. PLENTY of (supposedly) PC screenies. And nothing mind blowing. But the art direction and the world/object placement is very good. More attention to detail than Oblivion it appears.
I know it is going to look better than the console version. But I have not looked at any screens that made me think it is gonna blow me away visually. Unless every screen I have looked at is a console screenie.
Doesn't matter to me though. This game looks like a good solid step forward in the series in terms of gameplay/story-telling. Exra pretty graphics would just be the cherry on top.
I hope its true!
The free market says otherwise. However I DO understand where you are coming from. So many good games that come and go and don't get the sales (IMO) they deserve.
You cared enough to comment obviously.
I wish I could say the same but I know so many people are still getting MW3 that I will get it sooner or later just to play with them online.
However the whole time I am gonna be talking about how great BF3 is and they should play that instead.
It is gonna be very hard for me to go to a game with static scenery/buildings like the CoD series after playing BF3.
I bought it for PC. A FANTASTIC FPS. I rate it at the top of my list with the likes of its more complicated brother Red Orchestra 2.
When the price drops sign me up. Doesn't thing make everything 3d because of the nature of the individual eye input?
Almost wish I didn't buy my acerHN24H 3D monitor last month.
Never read a book or watched any of the shows. However after watching the videos for this game even I am interested in playing it.
Mute them. Problem solved.
If you are so thin skinned that you would ban someone else from playing a game then you have a bigger problem then them having bad taste- you're extremely insecure.
That girl in the ad looks just like a friend of mine.
I've played the finished product. And I happen to think it is the best objective based war game out to date. (with Red Orchestra 2 coming in a close 2nd)
But, lucky for us with differing opinions- we can purchase one, both, or neither so in the end we all win.
Seeing as how they didn't release a whole lot of info about it I bet they are still not even sure what they are gonna put under the hood and probably still no clue about the online capabilities.
MW3 does death match in a way that more people seem to enjoy. But if you like objective based gaming the average person seems to like the way BF3 does it.
For me I will probably enjoy both games for different reasons. BF3 because I have it on the PC and all its beautiful glory as well as the great destructible environment gameplay.
MW3 because everyone I know on the xbox will playing it. And even though CoD series is not my favorite it is still fun especiall...
I'll pay the higher price. I just hope the people there recover quickly and well.
STALKER is such a damn good series. I can't wait till the newest one comes out.
I kinda miss "Expansion Packs". You had to wait longer to get it but it was almost always more worthwhile content than "DLC" is today.
Long time PC gamers will know what I am talking about. Expansion packs did not really exist in the console realm until more recently and even then was quickly replaced by DLC.
