That would be the best way to do it. Mass Effect Universe is very well done, and branching out to different characters and timelines would really make it feel fresh after the trilogy is over.

Which is too bad for the legitimate PC gamers. I always get multi games on PC, because not only do I prefer playing on my laptop, but I also love the extras you get with it.
Extras like:
Graphical options (not just better graphics, but choice of better FPS or higher rez and shaders)
Mods (home made expansions, armor sets, grap...
I love 12 myself and while 13 is my least favorite in the series, I did complete it and did have fun. Unfortunately it took until the second planet and hunts to be enjoyable.
I know people didnt like how 12 (MMO'd) final fantasy, but I loved the very large world and how the game flowed from exploring to battles without transition screens (which are very noticeable to me now). I keep going back to it for my FF fix.
