Secured my copy today. I'm a sucker for steelbooks and the art book should be great as well.
Weather = Free patch
All future tracks = Free DLC
Free car every month, with the option to buy any others you find interesting.
Clubs and a challenge system that are unique to the genre.
Graphics that set a new bar.
Physics that have been praised by many.
Seems fine to me.
If your connection is good enough to take advantage of Forza's online features, you should have no problem with a patch.
Please don't let anyone playing in these videos review the game, because they are clearly shit at racing games.
This is why I don't pay much attention to reviews, especially for genres that generally require more skill.
And 3,2,1...
I'm not counting down to anything in particular, that's just what I expect to see happen to your bubble count if you keep shit posting like this.
As others have mentioned, this is only your third comment. What they've missed is that your definition of what NPD stands for was stolen from another user on this site. Not only are you a plagiarist, your inability to even spell properly means you're apparently incapable of copying and pasting. Good to see another user amongst the chaff on N4G.
The title makes sense as long as you don't have a persecution complex. "Why no split-screen with downgrade graphics" doesn't imply anything other than the complexities associated with the implementation of that feature that exist beyond simple rendering issues. If you're so worried about click-bait articles and still want to know about the game, then simply visit the Twitter page of Driveclub's game director.
You must be new to gaming. Third party exclusives used to be common up until the last generation. The fact that they're seeing a return seems as if it's mostly due to the indie scene needing to secure funds for development.
I didn't limit myself to GAF (hence, "forums *such as* NeoGAF"), but even if I had, it's the largest gaming forum in the world and is full of early adopters (i.e., exactly the kind of people you would expect to encounter issues such as this).
Also, the fact that you get hits from a Google search only proves that there are a large number of gaming-related websites that will happily report on any issue, either in an attempt to inform or to simply generate traffic. And ...
"If you’ve never heard of this problem before, you’re lucky..."
Note to author:
You're essentially implying that the problem is widespread, while even a cursory search forums such as NeoGAF says otherwise.
"Even in this compressed video I had a really hard time seeing any differences at all."
That's because the compression makes a proper comparison harder, not easier.
Normally, I say Project Cars because I prefer sims. However, I'm looking forward to Driveclub because it's something my friends will also enjoy. I really don't know which I'd choose, but luckily I don't have to. What I do need is for Thrustmaster to release their T300 RS wheel in NA.
If you're a sim fan, you need Project Cars. Myself, I prefer sims but also like arcade racers, so I will be picking up Driveclub on release and will do the same for Project Cars.
Sure, the story missions have to go in order, but that's the nature of the beast. There's also a lot of content that wasn't available to us in the Alpha or Beta, locked off by enemies displaying question marks where their level numbers should be. Also, the first section of a game is usually the most linear, to give you a sense of direction before letting you off on your own.
If you're that concerned about it, just wait a little while for friends or reviews to give you...
Interesting name for someone that obviously couldn't be bothered to consider the facts on his way to forming an ignorant, biased opinion used to concern troll.
"Please.. It might be the years biggest game, but definitely not the best."
There's a word for people that don't know the difference between opinion and fact, who also pretend to know things that they couldn't possibly know. Idiot is the term, I believe.
Linear grindfest?
Again, you haven't played the full game, so you have no idea if that statement holds true. You have an opinion, that's fine. Just quit pretend...
Dudebro
The final six months is when delays often take place, as that's when the disparate pieces begin to come together and the developer is finally able to see something resembling a finished product. The situation you and the others are imagining, in which games aren't announced until release is certain, is completely unrealistic. Delays can occur weeks before a game is expected to go gold.
Strange
All your comment sums up is your lack of technical knowledge which has led to you misunderstanding the arguments you've tried (and failed) to describe.
It's the spiritual successor to the Souls games, with more focus on aggressive combat. We know what we're getting.
