And you can't beat getting it for $10.
But yeah, it's a gaming milestone
FFVI is my favorite rpg, with Kefka probably my favorite video game character of all time (though Solid Snake may have something to say about that)
I just took apart my launch 60gb last night to give the insides and the fan a good cleaning because it was running loud and hot this summer.
And when I put it back together, I had three "extra" screws left over.
Uh, oh... D:
It works and is running whisper quiet though... but for how long..?
If I have to buy a new PS3, I want to get it when there's a price drop (and hopefully PS2 emulation as well!)
EDIT:
...
When the video stopped, I was like "Noooooooo!!!!
>:0 I desire Mooooooooore!!!
EDIT: And to think, Naught Dog will be sharing the source code soon after release, just like they are doing with the first Uncharted.
I hope the other devs pick up some useful tips. The potential for some truly stellar games from more studios is absolutely mind-blowing!
And that's not wrong to say. Then maybe sports titles second, but I'm guessing there.
Everyone knows that 360 gamers buy shooters and sports games in epic numbers. Heck, we've all seen 360 fan boys brag about their shooter sales numbers, while claiming any PS3 exclusive that "only" sells 2 or 3 million flopped.
He said 360 gamers don't go crazy for fighters (obviously there are exceptions). I'll add 360 gamers don't go crazy for jrpg's.
Of co...
I made it to 49lvl Burg and a Master Chef, but quit soon after.
It didn't capture that magical feel of EQ or the camaraderie and sense of accomplishment of FFXI which forced you to group to get anywhere... sans you Beastmasters :)
The community was great though for the most part, but again -- that was when I first started.
For those that care...
You can solo (both grind or quest) to lvl but obviously having help makes things go much quicker ...
Ah! That makes sense. I see where you're coming from then
But I still would expect the Boss to kick Snake's rump :)
When you make a list of comparison's like that, you have a lot of great points
wrong reply
SPOILER
Did we play the same MGS3? CQC was only relevant for the story; because the Boss and Snake developed it together... in the story
Us gamers NEVER had to use it the whole game except maybe once, and I can't even remember the time -- if there was a time -- that we were made to use it.
You only needed to really use it if you wanted to capture an enemy soldier and have him reveal other enemy locations. But if you play stealth style and go slowly, you f...
“It's new. Because we already had experience on 360, that kind of got ahead a little bit, but now we pretty much caught up. Actually it was very exciting. People on the team were really pumped to work on it. They were like, wow. We have a lot of people that like doing new stuff and trying new things, and they were like, wow another platform, can't wait! It's been good.”
We need more dev teams like this. Excited to learn something new and step out of their comfort zone.
"An option of spending half an hour to travel to another area just because some high levels that don't need the mobs at all except for money is not good or right, it's an abuse of a player-derived rule."
"The problem is that in EQ they created a rule that defied this concept and instead was tailored towards people who had A) the level power to enforce such rules by controlling the camps and B) the time to waste on waiting for others to finish camping spawn points&q...
I hear you about EQ, but a lot of the gamer rules are set to make the game more fun for everyone.
I also remember going to BB to gob hunt and shouting a camp check. After the responses, I'd politely ask the players to send me a pm when they were done or the time that they would be done. That worked great.
I'd just go adventure someplace else or log off for a while until the time that they gave me was coming near.
That prevented over-camping or too ma...
Next time, PM him that crap.
On topic: "screw conversion of your tech to the 360 and worry about why you did not convert people from other mmo's if you ask me."
Fully agree. Make your game stand out and intriguing enough to draw people away from the heavy-weights like WoW and I guess Maple Story and Free Realms first. Then tackle console conversion.
It kind of messed with me that I was watching LINK strip, and not Zelda. wtf...
That Blood Rayne was actually freaky... like bad scary nightmare freaky D8
And Princess Peach is a man. I expected him to say "It's a me... Mario!!"
Just fail all around :(
A GEoW quality type shooter with rpg elements = win
I like when other genres add an rpg spin to their games.
It already happened with action / adventure games like zombie-fest Dead Rising and Castlevania: SotN.
I say bring on the level-ups! Just limit the grinding and fetch-quests... :)
they made me say OH SH!T!!!
Waiting on that, right there. And it can't come fast enough
And MS has more money than... well anyone... so they'll be all right
I don't wanna see no stinkin' gerbils
Where's my BotP movie? :(
