Seriously, go buy the game
I'm an over 30's gamer (started with the arcades and Atari 2600) and I have had to intentionally game differently as I get older.
Way back in the day, I could "game freely" meaning that as long as I had the money to game, I could just play whatever fun title comes along whenever and for how long I wanted.
But as I get older, the problem that I have isn't money. It's time. I have to balance -
- my career
- time with my wife
- taking care o...
Truer words have never been spoken...
And on a side note, is "truer" even a real word? ;P
Everyone has to admit that we've been playing basically the same Mario experience for decades with just a new trick here and there. And that's great. I know what I want and expect from a Mario title.
Mario's last huge "improvement" was going 3D (though I'll say that the real improvement is going back to 2D for the latest DS and Wii games. And ol...
I might be be the only person on the planet who actually liked AC.
I wasn't crazy over the flag-collecting, but I did like gathering information before the kill. And I LOVE the timing-based combat.
AC was a good first effort and laid the groundwork for a potentially great series.
Looking forward to AC2.
That's a shaky statement to make. I didn't say untrue; it's just not a slam dunk...
360 has Mass Effect, Lost Odyssey, and Infinite Undiscovery as front-runners. Those are some great games. I also played Blue Dragon but it got way kiddie.
For PS3 I've personally played VC (it's amazing!!) and I STILL haven't been able to put Demon's Souls down to play through Uncharted 2 yet. No Joke...
The first Uncharted and MGS4 were my two favorite games this g...
This statement right here is hilarious if you have the game :)
Good ol' 4-2...
Now, THIS is why this game is so insane.
Hard game? Let's make it harder for the holidays!
And the people flock to it!
DS is gaining such a loyal following, that it gives me hope for a sequel and even greater hope for some DLC to keep the game fresh and the servers up.
As Chubear screamed...
Let the dark harvest BEGIN!!!!!
EDIT:
This game needs to be an MMO, for real. Keep the same controls but maybe... ...
I still have my copy of SF Alpha 3 for PSOne
but a new Twisted Metal trumps all
Seriously, when I think PSOne Heavy-weights it's...
FFVII & VIII
Tomb Raider
MGS
Tony Hawk
Crash Bandicoot
and Twisted Metal
(I'm sure there are others but it late and I can't think straight right now.)
EDIT:
Tekken
Hmm, interesting...
Guess who wasn't here for all of those Dude Raider comments
Sony games usually don't sell in OMGHALO numbers.
Even with 140 million PS2 user base, it's rare to find a game sell over 4 or 5 million. Even some of their biggest franchises like GOW didn't reach 4 million for either game, I believe
Playstation users are just more diverse.
So it's a pretty cool accomplishment for GG with a substantially lower userbase
GT, GTA, and Halo numbers are the exception; not the norm...
but the damn thing got canceled because not many ticket were sold
Denied :(
Or at least I would if we all lived on Opposite World where...
-It's safe for kids to run with scissors...
-Sharks, alligators, and rattle-snakes are cuddly...
-no one picked on Star Wars kid...
-and Michael Jackson was the greatest baby-sitter ever! (too soon?)
GTFO with this crap
And who the heck ever heard of this fraud website anyhow?
They shame themselves
hdmi cables can be found for real cheap if people take a quick second to look...
Monoprice.com sells gold-plated 6' hdmi cables for pocket change. Seriously...
And half that amount if you only need a 3ft or 1.5 ft length hdmi cable.
We're talking $2 to $4 USD
For that low money Sony could have included the hdmi cable, but when you're talking tens of millions worth of cables - it's smart business for them not to.
But Sony didn't...
The Playstation name is strong. Hardcore gamers who already own the main consoles, Sony fans, and Gadget wh0res will get it maybe.
Sure, they probably already own PSP's, but if they're anything like me. they'll find an excuse to get one.
Example, I have this microscopic scratch on the screen of my PSP-2001 that might actually be imaginary, but the damn thing sure looks the size of the Grand Canyon to me. LOL
Plus, I have it on my honeymoon right now, an...
Most devs aren't fanboys. They can appreciate each other's hard work, talent, and innovation.
Heck, PS3 devs normally SHARE INFORMATION to make the best games possible.
You even have those mysterious white-coat ninja/engineers of Sony making the rounds at the various studios.
Team effort and much respect among peers
EDIT:
Sorry if it seems that I've been bashing 360 a lot lately. I'm looking forward to great games like ME2 an...
Glad Zack Fair made it
That end was a sight to behold. As sad and f'd up as it was epic.
You tube it if you haven't seen it yet. Or better yet, go play the game. It's good.
You get to stay in control of Zack and keep fighting as he's being gunned down and blown up. And you see the toll it takes on his body and psyche.
Real messed up...
that "NSFW" is for real...
LOL!!
Now that's funny right there :)
Edit:
Bubble for your trouble.
It's not a paycheck, but you know...
Yeah! That's hilarious right there and Bubble-worthy!
In truth, Demon's Souls isn't THAT hard... just unforgiving. If you can get by the first stage of the game (1-1, not the tutorial), you'll be fine.
Best advice, take it sloooow! If you run through, you WILL get jumped! LOL!
Best of Luck to you :)
