I'd buy it, as I'm paranoid about my launch backwards-compatible PS3 getting a bit long in the tooth
I still play my PS2 games, and having one less console hooked up plus the PS3 upscaling my PS2 games are bonuses.
Just keep selling the cheaper PS2-less PS3 as well.
People still want PS2's. Some might pay more for the backwards compatible PS3

Before playing FFXIII, the FF franchise was my absolute favorite in video games.

And as for FF, I just finished FFXIII and while the battle system was incredible, the game was truly unremarkable
FFXIII was meh through the first ten chapters, started to open up and get great during chapters 11 & 12, and then had a horrid nonsensical final chapter
