I think he was just pointing out all of the cr@p PS3 fans had to endure during 2007
The FUD spread by both media and "gamers" was epic.
Almost funny until you think about all of the misinformed potential buyers too ready to believe it
Great line right there...
And so true :D
EDIT: This here from the author is good too...
(And yes, I have read the message boards, the forums, and the blog posts, in which seemingly sane-sounding people say things like, "I don't know why everyone says this game is so hard. It should be harder." I wonder what such people would consider hard. Brain surgery? Conquering Afghanistan? Alchemy?)
It's cool to care deeply about SOMETHING as along as it doesn't become dangerous or malicious (like hacking a gamer / game website because of their choices)
It's true that the console war did get a bit sketchy at one point. Not to the level of football hooligans and terrorists, obviously... but IMO there was a lot of misinformation being spread about a certain console a while back by those in a position of responsibility (media members), while other consoles were getting "f...
Yeah, I subscribe to the Warzone
That Dumbo stuff a couple weeks back was hilarious. And I don't care what anyone says - those Transformers Ebonics twins weren't that bad. Ok - the gold tooth was pushing it, but at least it wasn't like my man with the chocobo in his afro
Glad to see you settled things with Games on Smash.
EDIT:
And fanboy sh!t is funny. Pure comedy! And that's cool... The bitbaggers (minus HHG) come off as total 360 fanb...
most later ps2 games on ps3 looks great, but I 'd imagine that the particular game has a lot to do with it
I played the following using PS3's backwards compatibility on a HDTV with good results...
MGS3
GoW 1@2
FFXII
SF3: Third Strike (installs to hdd for fluid animation)
RE4
Okami
Odin Sphere
And a lot of the later PS2 games have the option for progressive scan
Uncharted 1&2 (and Demon's Souls) are right up there
Man... with Mass Effect, Gears, Oblivion, inFamous, Warhawk, Dragon Age and more - and with GoWIII and other greats on the way - this generation has been a beast!
Good for that kid though. I was like that when I got my Atari 2600, and later full Voltron Lions set
memories... :)
was 4-2, and those damn invisible enemies, when you hear them run up behind you giggling. WTF!?
And trying to find and kill the grim reapers that summoned the shadow men you just killed -- before those same shadow men could resurrect and kill you.
That sh!t was so tense, it gave me an f'n headache the first time through.
F' 4-2! (Great farming there though!)
EDIT:
And rounding the corner in 3-2 and seeing a giant Freddy Kruger...
LOL at the e-thug!
Keep it gangsta :D
Egm fell into "ps3" hatefest that was all the rage at the time. Had you been reading then, you'd know that.
But you're too hard to bother reading, aren't you? :D
But if it's that infantile "PS3 getting splattered with tomatoes" EGM? I'll pass
that later EGM lost their integrity
@ disagree
Shoe? Is that you? :D

Personally can't say enough good things about that game
Yes, the game's that damn good
Don't let it's reputation - or the fact that you'll probably die a lot - intimidate you, and you'll do just fine.
pretty good game for that price.
I have an iphone, but hope more apps start hitting the other phones soon.
The amazing app support is what swayed me and others toward the iphone, but AT&T isn't all that great.
We need more app support on Verizon and Sprint phones, so people have better services to choose from.
I actually agree with Dragun619 on this.
As great as the Uncharted franchise is, it's not as popular as CoD yet.
While I personally love Uncharted 2 and bought it Day One, a few of my friends put UC2 on their "to be bought later" list, snatched up COD:MW2, and jumped right into the multiplayer
I know one guy that heard the hype surrounding Demon's Souls and picked that up instead! Can't blame him; it's an amazing experience.
UC2 w...
I took Wrex everywhere with me. Helped him find his family armor and everything
This goes out to my buddy Wrex...

*sniff*
but really, I'm hoping for that broken archstone to be fixed for some DLC
I think it was mentioned by some gamers here that the archstone could lead to 'The Land of Giants' mentioned in the storyline
aww yeah...
Great mix of music, fun gameplay, but expensive
I dunno
Some people just love to hate
so obviously can't wait for this
So someone can't say The Godfather or Aliens are better movies than The Love Guru or Miley Cyrus' latest "gem"?
Quality transcends genre. I would hope that most everyone respects and understands quality when they see it, regardless of genre.
All that said...
Halo will probably sell more. The Halo name is a sales juggernaut.
But I personally can't wait to play GoWIII - my most anticipated game this year so far.
