don't know why people are excited for this..looks like more of the same repetitive assassins creed formula with pirate hats

THIS GUY IS THE BEST SOUNDTRACK MAKER AND SOUND EFFECT MAKER. THANK GABEN HES BACK!!!!!!!
The price is higher because you are buying a device that does more than just play video games. It is a work device, it is a device for software, it is a device to browse the internet
And the initial price is higher but you fail to account for the price of console gaming over the course of the console generation. You fail to consider paying for online, the price of upgrading to a slim version or a version with better memory or paying to replace your broken version. You fail to...
"DNF was deemed a failure even though is was exactly like old DN games, only reason it failed was due to fans putting so much hype into it they couldn't see anything but their disappointment."
DNF was a failure because it was terrible with respect to modern FPS, and it was terrible with respect to classic FPS (like DN64). It was the farthest thing from old DN games. It failed more-so because it was a bad game than the hype alone. Good games are good games on the...
Duke nukem forever failed because hype was compounded with sporadic development and budget disputes. The game was dead and revived a couple times and was handed over to a couple different developers under a couple different publishers. Also there is the rather important factor that the game was terrible as a modern shooter and as a duke nukem game.
HL3 will be coming from a developer that has unlimited (well not really 'unlimited' but budget will be of no issue) funds...
Stupid article.
@gaelic
What bar did they set and by what means, other than simply saying nothing and releasing nothing with regard to HL3? They haven't set the bar high. We have.
And for the record I think HL3 will be incredible. I haven't been disappointed by a Valve game yet.
Well its nice to see Kojima showing PC a little love, whereas many Japanese developers mainly stick to console. Maybe MGS5 will make its way too, who knows
Ladies can't resist the white wolf
Also I cheated on Triss multiple times because I honestly don't trust her. Hmmm a sorceress from the lodge of sorceresses, an organization that is notorious for planting agents in and around individuals of influence and power, is getting cozy-cozy with one of the best remaining living witchers?
Hmm..
In the months preceding HL3s release, I will assume a complete hiatus from internet forums, news sites, gaming sites, and social media sites.
I will NOT be spoiled one iota for HL3
Its an older engine but it can make a game that stands toe to toe with next gen titles, which is damn amazing.
@digital
I thought they usually release stuff at the same time on all platforms, at least thats what they've been doing with their recent games
Cheaper? console gaming equalizes in price to PC gaming over the span of the console generation
Better? I disagree. Both have pros and cons
Idunno man...I think I could re-sell that console with the documentation for more than a thousand..
Just like GTA 1. Oh wait
Just like GTA 2. Oh wait
Just like GTA 3. Oh wait
Just like GTA Vice City. Oh wait
Just like GTA San Andreas. Oh wait
Just like GTA 4. Oh wait
Woah, would you look at that. Every main GTA before 5 is available on PC. But I guess GTA 5 is out of the blue going to be console exclusive, right?
The logic of some people...
@Mills93
Yes you are right, but people go about upgrading their PC in a few different ways that end up equaling the prices I was talking about in my comment. You could buy a high end build at the start of a console generation and then either upgrade it along the way or wait the duration of the generation and then get another high end build. These are just examples, as many are different. My main point was that the cost of doing these micro upgrades or bulk upgrades is around...
@Idba
Console gaming is almost as expensive in the long run as PC gaming, maybe even exceeding it.
Just think, paying for online multiplayer for the 9-10 year life of your console is like 500 dollars, give or take months you don't buy it so lets say 350. 350+400 is 750 right there accumulated over time. Now we have to include the price of upgrading your console to newer versions, which believe it or not, is extremely common, despite console players harkin...
Lacks good exclusives, I don't agree with such a sweeping statement.
Not only does it have some of the most unique and varied exclusives, but modding too, imo, is exclusive in its own right. Find me a medieval combat simulator like Mount and Blade Warband on console, find me a musket-line multiplayer mod like Napoleonic wars, find me an open world game with as much immersion and hardcoreness as stalker, find a game like papers please one of the most unique indie games I...
oops, skimmed too fast
well the good thing about PC and the eventual steam machine is you're free to use any type of input you like, be it mouse and keyboard, steam gamepad, or a xbone controller
Though I think the team meat designer should hold off his judgement until hes actually tried the controller out at least
And 95% of console gamers are children who play COD
see I can make sweeping generalizations too
