Well in fairness, MGS4 gave the player the option to play their style of play, and choosing the stealth option was always far more satisfying & rewarding decision than the run & gun option.

By the time it goes on sale, all the great games of this gen will have been released. And the PS3's swan song will probably be The Last Guardian (just like Shadow of Colossus was on the PS2)
And btw there is no chance that either Sony or MS will release their new consoles anywhere near the $500-$600...

It wouldn't make sense to scrape one of the best graphic engines on consoles, in favor of a new one, this late in the PS3's cycle.
Well considering the recent rumors are that Sony on working on an updated, more powerful & more efficient Cell chip, it is likely that Sony will use Nvidia again, and have backwards compatability for PS3 games.
Sony said that most developers have now grown familiar with the Cell architecture, and they are committed to releasing more user friendly dev kits for their next-gen consoles .

Mkv is the format of most 720p & 1080p films on torrent sites.
The PS3 supports MP4, Xvid & MPEG2 which are common formats for digital video cameras and smartphone/handy cam footage, and this was the intended purpose of the media support back when the PS3 was launched in 2007 (Sony hailed it as a device to display your pictures & home movies, thats why the old 60gb PS3 has a SD card & MS Pro duo slots).
