I’ve never played PUBG, but a lot of people are calling this a “joke” for GOTY. The game has sold over 20 million copies in under a year. How can that be discounted??
Damn..... I wonder if THIS is the actual case that tips the balance back to the consumers. I actually cancelled my preorder (The only reason I preordered was a $10 extra bonus from BB). That being said, I DO realize that development costs have skyrocketed and game prices haven't budged in 15 years. I would MUCH rather just have a price increase than this sh*t though.
It's hard to say without knowing the position they were in before the sale. I can't imagine they were flush with cash after TF2.
Serious question. For a game like this, would you even notice? Can you see a difference on the Pro?
I 100% agree. However most comments in these forums basically wish death upon the "other" console which is just foolish. We should want consoles to be neck and neck in sales to drive innovation. Does nobody else see this pattern?

It always amazes me how people seem to forget that Japan is a VERY Nationalist country. They don't buy cars, etc. from other countries. People always paint this as they are anti-Xbox. They aren't. They are just strongly FOR Japan. I believe probably the only exception to this would be Apple.
Serious question. Has anybody put together an article on this guys "predictions" and how often they are accurate? I honestly cringe when I see his name at this point. Is he literally the ONLY analyst in the entire industry?

For a second I was wondering why this was the "hottest" story on N4G. Then I started reading the comments.
Metacritc has GOT to employ Olympic style scoring. Throw out the top and bottom two reviews to reach the average. This would stop all games from getting that stupid one super low score just to get clicks. Letting one score either positive OR negative affect an average is just dumb. Especially if your site is literally dedicated to providing a reliable result.
LOL. Not even CLOSE! Oh man, please list the top ten Sony games (do NOT include third party, actually, you probably could and it wouldn't matter), and the top ten Nintendo games. Nintendo are ICONS. Let's put a guy in a Mario suit, and a guy in Crash suit and see who people recognize.
Shame for the rest of the people in this thread that have to read comments like this that have ZERO to do with the article.
Artical has ZERO to do with exclusives, which is quickly becoming the card to play on ANY positive Xbox story.
They should really write “temporarily” in the headline. Pretty misleading.
