I won't die happy if I don't fight cyber Putin. Vanquish 2 needs to happen.

It's about time critics stop lumping game genres together in one huge pot and compare them all. Would you compare Super Mario Bros. to Anno 2070? Would you compare Doom to Secret of Monkey Island? Game genres can be wildly different, and an adventure game becoming mainstream shouldn't invite comparisons to Battlefield 1 or Uncharted 4. Quantic Dream has even been on record saying they don't even make games, but rather interactive movies. Beyond: Two Souls aside, they have acc...

I'd take a good unfinished story to a long bad one any day. The Silmarillion, an unfinished Tolkien work, was still miles better than Hubbard's very finished Mission Earth series, for example.

Gotta go with Irishguy95 here. Nomura gets an unusual amount of praise for his work on the Final Fantasy series, despite only ever directing Advent Children and the Kingdom Hearts series (which was great; don't get me wrong), while doing character designs for FF. Meanwhile, Yoshinori Kitase, the actual director of the Final Fantasy golden age games, along with Chrono Trigger, gets exaclty zero mention of any kind. Kitase maintained Final Fantasy's legendary status, and was an amazi...

In a new franchise.

Same here. I'm just glad this is about Kara. I'd been hoping they'd expand on that short.

Can't say I agree that Kingsglaive shouldn't be taken into account just because it's a separate product.
Many game franchise sequels notably follow up on their predecessors. Metal Gear Solid 4 would make virtually no sense to people who hadn't been playing the previous Metal Gear games, yet the series is generally praised for its sprawling narrative, often for that very reason. The games are sold separately, but they share a universe and they are expected to all be ...

It tends to miss things, too. There have been times where I had to give up and browse the store on my PC to find what I was looking for.

Don't tell me people actually like the store's rotary phone search function.

3444d ago 6 agree5 disagreeView comment

How about a decent search function or that weird bug that tells you there's been an error every time you buy something from the store?

And Sokal is still in charge. I can't believe I hadn't looked it up recently. Just gave it up for dead.

Here's hoping it won't end in another cliffhanger.

You know you're getting into an in-depth analysis when it gives you a spoiler warning for X-Files.

The more important question is "will it be a good game?"

What?

And I remember getting downvoted to death when I said 2016 was the year of the playstation.

Sounds like somebody needs a round trip ticket to hug city.

Maybe not making it the price of an entire console would've marked a better start.

The camera perspective is the last thing to worry about. As long as its story's good while fitting in with established lore, the gameplay is enjoyable, the puzzles are good, and it's actually scary, then it won't matter where the camera is.

Is it actually confirmed that that DLC game mode even had a different ending?
I just don't see Canadacom putting forth that much effort.
