You can say the same about 90% of everything out there today...AAA at least. Yes, I think its being compared to het unreleased games like Destiny, the Witcher 3 etc, even though its more of a launch title. I, for one, cant wait. I never played infamous for the story. Its for the open world and the ability to be a superhero.

Bioshock is one of my all time favorite games. It was nearly the perfect culmination of everything I love about video games. I loved Bioshock 2 as it improved in nearly every way, and Infinite, while lacking some magic, still brought an experience that is almost unparalleled.

While they r my favorite developer and its my most anticipated game and I have every bit of faith in them and the game, the reasoning is two fold.
By february, the number of next gen consoles could reach 20-25 million sold and for a game this big, its a necessity for investors to have the best chance to make money. That comes after Xmas and during tax season.

Its because it is very risky business wise. It means that after initial sales, u rely entirely on in game sales to keep going.
Swtor didnt fail b/c ppl didnt want to pay a monthly fee, its b/c no one would pay the fee to play an endgame with little content.
DCUO is a great example. It went f2p to boost the base...but its only able to keep making content b/c of the money that ppl spend in game...and for many its $100/month or more.

Do u know how much money a month the hardcore crowd spends on GW2 every month. I have a friend who spends $200+ a month on it. How do u think GW2 is able to keep a big team and continuously put out new content? Its a business first. It doesnt rely on initial sales forever.
How can u say that? The beta is early on and swtor failed initially b/c of lack of content. We have no idea how much content ESO has right now or how much it will have in its first year.
U might be wrong. Trust me. I would rather pay $15/month to keep microtransactions out of my mmo for as long as possible. Its much cheaper than the $100 u may be spending instead.
