This article is a tad bit late. The industry has gotten the memo and begun to move away from AAA titles and towards more indies, mmo's and f2p.
As a matter of fact, this gen or next gen is gonna b quite the leap. The problem is that many console only players only look at tech and hardware. This leap is one towards what PC gamers have experienced for quite some time with steam etc.

And other than the quick story, it got repetitive and boring real fast. I chose this over Dark Souls cuz it was on my PS4. Lets just say I have had DS2 for 2 days and already logged twice as many hrs.
Whats interesting is how MS chose to go in one direction and now is playing catchup with Sony, Valve etc. Almost like they had no idea what these companies were working on...ie. VR and Gakai.
I just think that MS would have been bettered served to release a $400 xbone w/ ddr5 ram (it would work). Then announce kinect 2.0 at this years E3. Just sayin...
Sony can also tell ppl why their ram works so well...oh wait...thet dont have to... cuz it does.

Shoulda happened after G4. He is one of the few ppl that actually come off as thinking they know better or are more informed, and will grace us with his infinite knowledge.
Maybe its just me, but he has never been likeable and we won't even go into his PC rantings that were oh so annoying.
I do wish him well as hes been there from the beginning but I cant say ill miss him that much.

My thought exactly. And unlike Skyrim, it wont level with you making leveling and combat pointless (with absurd difficulty spikes that made no sense). Also, on top of this, it will have a great story. Yeah, Skyrim has amazing lore but the same 2 ppl voice acting 100's of npc's gets old.

I am glad this is out for PC two months earlier. By June, we will know what the endgame is like. I know that there is veteran questing, adventure zones and time trials, and we will know if this is enough.
So far, so great. At this point, its worth a month for sure. For $60, u will get more content than u would get with 90% of other games. And I dont mind subbing at all, assuming that the PvP and end game is great too. No true raids is worrying but we will see. And for the lov...

I just started, just killedbthe pursuer (solo lol). Anyway, on the forums, everyone is saying that its easier than Dark Souls. I guess we will wait and see. I just love how Dark Souls makes u basically perfect different sections...I play very strategically. In a wierd way, it reminds me of Bioshock 1 and 2 with the camera and no vita chambers.
Maybe thats why they are both my favorite from last gen. And the immersion of course.
Exactly. That is why I would love to see Bioshock 1&2, Demon and Dark Souls and Fallout 3. It would be a great start. Then, in a yr. or two bring the others that just released.
Wow!!! Lost Odyssey. That would be amazing.
But, for me...its the Bioshock collection...all 3. And all 3 Souls games. Add in Fallout 3 and I would literally be screaming like a little girl.
Now, with Fallout 4 coming and I am fairly certain another Souls successor coming, just give me the 3 Bioshock games. Playing burial at sea reminded me of just how unbelievable those experiences were.
