Agreed. And once everyone plays it, doubters will buy it because of the quality of the experience.
No one demanded that Levine make Bioshock as a 3rd person game! Let it be!!
No. Two of my favorite games are Bioshock and Half-life and both can claim insane immersion in part b/c of the first person viewpoint.
There is a reason that it is first person. Along with it, we will get CDPR’s insane attention to detail, whether it be in story crafting, rpg mechanics or world building.
I can’t wait! Love what I see. Find it hard to believe though, that this is an open world game. Crazy!!! Almost wish it was a games of service, only be...
If they do, Nathan could come back and serve in the Sully role to his daughter.
I have faith in CDPR and can’t wait. They have always done right by us!!
Too bad you haven’t been on ours!
Uh...are you kidding me? Where have you seen something like this before? We haven’t. A linear game...maybe. Open world...never. Open world rpg...nope! And the world itself is amazing!
And just remember... story wise...this is the team that gave us TW3.
This may easily be the most immersive game ever made!
Kinda disappointing. Hopefully this is just the main quest. We NEED things to do in this open world. I kinda wanted AC Origins and others to release more content for the world they built because you spend so little time in a given area that it seems a waste almost to create such an amazingly vibrant world and...20 hrs later, it’s over.
I think a mtroidvania style open world would be perfect in that it would constantly drag you all around and back through places.

It’s like Origins meets Black Flag in Ancient Greece! That’s cool!
YES!!! In 8-10 years consoles will have ray tracing. Even better B5 runs at a whopping 1080 and 60 FPS with it. It better be the coolest damn thing ever to give up 4K and unlimited frames!
Edit: It is pretty freaking cool though!
In all honestly, how many games would you start on PS4 and carry over to the Xbox? The only reason this is even a thing right now is because of the Switch. Ppl wanna play at home on a powerful console and be able to take the Switch on the go.
A better solution is to have MS or Sony give us a way to play games on the go...console games. THAT IS the future!!!!
And of course Hines don’t care. They don’t lose out in this deal, like one of the console companie...
That would be great. Now I can just buy one console like most ppl will. Instead of 80-100 million sold per company, it will be 40 each. The price of consoles and games will increase and funding for AAA’s will be cut. Soon after, there will only be one console maker and then prices will rise even further...can’t wait!!!
The best part though is that now instead of 18 ppl playing some niche online game, there will be 46. Let’s do this!!!!
God of War meets Origins meets Black Flag. That not so bad!!!! And after this they are taking two years for the next iteration. Ubi listened!!!
Too bad I’ll have no time. Loved Origins, though a bit hallow as far as rpgs go.
Yep! Let’s hope it gains a nice following. Especially b4 Blackout hits b/c then everyone will be playing that...yawn...
It depends on the final product. Always does. If the game is great and exceeds expectations, marketing won’t matter. All that ever really matters for a game of this scope is how good it is and what it’s endgame entails.
The problem is that unlike other companies, they try and walk the fine line b/w profit and and the boundaries of what customers will accept before hurting sales.
The point they miss is that the industry environment is ever changing, and often you NEED the good will of consumers while you shift strategy or attempt to enact change.
Right now they have NO good will, and it has come at a time in which competition is at an all time high, gaming is changing pla...
It has sure changed how customers view EA games aside from sports. Look at B5 numbers. I just think no one trusts them anymore.
The truth is that enough ppl will buy this, and enough of them will get hooked that it will be worth it. I have friends that spend $100/month on ESO and others much more. It’s a really good mmo, but it’s all they have played since it’s release.
This is what they are aiming for because the amount made from micros squashes the amount made from selling a game one time to 10x as many ppl.
And I will bet you will even be able to buy skill card packs.
So excited for this game. It just oozes charm. Kinda what I wanted from NNK2.
Only thing I need to know is when it releases lol!
Doesn’t seem that wild. The Greek, the 5, listed with other console OS’s.
