Uh...no! Now, offering a disc less version to ppl is a GREAT ideas and a way to ease ppl in, but it would be suicide to eliminate the version altogether. I’m 95% discless bit would still buy disc version b/c I find deals and stuff. Hell, my disc drive broke on 1st PS4 and I played it for 6 months b4 buying the Pro.
@Concertoine I’d love to know that too. Did Sony choose the $60 price tag? Did HG sign off on it? I do know that many bought into it hook, line and sinker. I remember telling a lot of my friends who bought this that it was made by a dozen ppl or less, and would be more of a Minecraft style game. But everyone was so damn excited, ya couldn’t tell anyone anything at the time. They all fell off, and I kept playing for two months.
Not sure why, but it scratched the progression...
I will say though, that I anchored mobile games. Never played anything until I bought KotOR. It was pretty good. But then nothing for a long time until I found Lineage 2: Revolution. I’ve played mmo’s, and about a ye ago started working 75 hrs a week. There is 0 time for the PC or PS4 anymore. I found L2R and it’s pretty damn good actually. I am amazed at the community and number of ppl who play.
Uh...it’s about time! And if ya want the September dlc, entitled, “What Destiny 2 should have been...” ya just need the base game, the season pass for the two dlcs released this far, and the new dlc, or $100+. I am sure they will release a new version with everything in it, right?
This mission looks cool, 11 months later, but why just copy the D1 Black Spindle? I dunno, but with all the hate NMS got, at least they had the decency to go back to the cave and get it right, and...
DAoC was a masterpiece and set the stage for games like ESO, of which many work for Zenimax now. Great article.
What? Yeah. It’s that simple. You are a team of 4 who had their studio flooded and almost lost everything. Then you get bought by Sony and WE see this thing and go ape-shit over the possibilities. Sony then takes this thing and markets it as a AAA game and charges $60.
It’s always been what I thought it was. A great template for future updates. I invested in it and played for a long time. I loved it. And they did what they should and I expected them to. They went back to w...
I do find the hair interesting though. Sheds light on why devs highlight this aspect so much. It’s one of those things that requires absurd processing power to achieve likeness. And what will ultimately be the thing that holds us back...for now.
What? She IS talking about the best we have right now. It has nothing to do with consoles or finding price points to generate maximum revenue. She is speaking about the ability in the near future for devs to take advantage of evolving code to reach a breaking point.
Of course it will.
I’m sure the issues would ruin the hardware. I just I’ve never signed up.
It’s HUGE for player count. If all you have to do is pay the sub to go back and try it out, many more who may not have played in awhile may jump back in.
Yep
That kinda makes sense. Who preorders a game without a release date?
Why? These were offset mids. Unless and wanta to give Sony a year’s head start, expect both to be about the same.
But it will never happen b/c they go hand on hand with electronics and sales. I have been wanting a focus on dynamic gameplay but all we ever get r better looking games. It’s great that we have many types of games now.
Though next gen will have 4K/60fps as a standard. But even 60 FPS is far from optimal.
If you think of it as an rpg/immersive sim like Bioshock etc., then it absolutely does! That’s the point of the genre.
Makes sense
Great choices. I’d say Nioh for sure...so good and my Game of 2017. LOVED D:OS too! Really wanna play PoE but new job has me limited on time.
I’m actually picking at Prey now and I am soooo surprised at how great it is. If you loved Bioshock, you HAVE to play Prey. Plus it just released one of the best dlcs ever made for a game.
Just hard to get over the time spent w/ D1 when we went over all the changes we wanted etc. And then we get a game in which they completely ignored everyone and did what they wanted. And now they want us to wait again while they fix it...again!
And soon comes to RoI!!
