Yes, because space pixels cost more to render than land pixels, right?

Except for that pesky thing called a profit and loss statement. Nothing positive there.

Too late. Developers are the ones who get to decide the "winner", by making more games for one console or the other...and they have OVERWHELMINGLY said that Microsoft is harder to work with, and harder to get a game published on, than the PS4. That's on the business side. On the technical side, you have additional difficulties. The PS4 is simply the superior hardware platform, and is easier to program for. This means that THIS generation, the PS4 will be the lead developmen...

Well, that's ONE way to get a decent game on your Xbox! LOL

Thats all the way in September! You can spend your time waiting...or spend your time playing Watch Dogs and Infamous!

Amazing what you get when you have a corporation buy off a developer!

Wow, another "Microsoft is going to dominate" story! What utter CRAP! The author neglects to realize that Sony has 72 BILLION DOLLARS in assets. They aren't going anywhere. He also neglects to realize that while SONY CORPORATION as a whole is in the red, SCEA, the division that makes the PS4, IS profitable! SCEA is not going anywhere, and if anything, will get MORE resources directed to them to reinforce their success!

Microsoft, on the other hand, while fi...

This crud doesn't even deserve to be reposted! It's a shill piece from "microsoftproductreviews. com"! Please. If the PS4 is "niche" with over 7 million in sales, what does that make the XB1, with less than 5 million? Don't give me that baloney that somehow "casual" users are going to start buying $500 boxes to get a glorified Neflix box, especially if it means ponying up $60/year just to access Netflix...it's the ONLY "multimedia" b...

You assume too much. Here, read this article:
http://www.eurogamer.net/ar...

Scroll down to the part where they are talking about low level APIs and getting "closer to the metal". The PS4 is ALREADY doing most of what they are trying to do with DirectX 12!

It's very dangerous to go around assuming you are smarter than everyone else out ...

No magic software is going to compensate for the fact that it has 768 shader processors vs. the PS4's 1152. Sorry, but that's not how things work. Will it make the Xbox better? Probably. Will it be significant? Probably not. Remember that Sony has their own software engineers refining their own tools, and many of the things that DX12 brings to the table, they are already doing with Sony's equivalent. As MS improves their software, Sony will be improving theirs as well. You...

Shhhhh! Don't mention Transformers and COD in the same breath! Someone might get ideas and get Michael Bay involved!

Well, I bitch as much as anyone else about the COD moneygrab...DLC, map packs, and $50 "season passes" in addition to the $60 game (which never seems to be on sale, or even discounted that much used, even a year or two after release!).

But...after buying my PS4, I REALLY wanted to play a "next gen" FPS! I wouldn't even consider Battlefield 4...not only is it made by EA, but the game is notorious for being a bug ridden POS. I rented "Ghosts&quo...

They can still charge people $60/year...but they have to do a few things:

1. Remove the requirement of "Gold" to use media apps like Netflix and Hulu

2. Improve "Games for Gold" program to include newer, and better games.

3. Expand "Games for Gold" to include XBox One titles.

If they do those three simple things, then people will feel that the service is worth the fee that they are paying. Right...

The doomsayers are out in force. Let's get one thing perfectly clear. Sony Computer Entertainment is NOT GOING ANYWHERE! That division is making money just fine. The REST of Sony, not so much...and Sony is making the tough calls right now to get rid of the divisions that are not profitable, like their computer division. For all of Sony's troubles, they still have CONSIDERABLE resources available to them.

The developers know...and by making it tougher to develop for the Xbox, developers will naturally gravitate towards the PS4. Consumers will notice that more games are available on the PS4, and less people will buy the Xbox One. It's already happening.

Personally, I hope MS keeps the parity clause...it's just one more nail in their coffin.
