Wow. Just wow. "If you can't afford a PS4, you shouldn't be gaming"??? Sorry, but even as someone who owns a 360, a PS3, a Vita, and a PS4, I find your comment offensive in the extreme!
The fact is that many in the world can't fork over $400 just for a LUXURY, but $150 for a used PS3 (or $250 for a new one) is in their budget. The PS3 is STILL an excellent value for gaming, and has a HUGE library of games for people to enjoy.
Yes, th...
There are well over SIXTY titles available on the PS4. I would say that if you can't find a good game to play, you aren't really looking. I have (and play regularly) Infamous, Tomb Raider (never played it when it was released on older consoles), Resogun, Pinball (both Zen and the other one that has the Twilight Zone table), Mercenary Kings, Dead Nation, and Transistor. Excellent (and FUN!) games all.
Yes, but the PS4 has more power AND has more games. What would be stupid is to buy a console based on unproven technology that has the sole benefit of being a PR talking point.
Again with the F'ing CLOUD???? ENOUGH! Until they can SHOW us, in a SHIPPING game, something that uses "The Cloud" (TM) that can't be done without it, I refuse to believe there is ANYTHING to this hype! Titanfall certainly didn't benefit from using it...anything they did "in the cloud" could have been done better locally on a better GPU. All this is is more hype to deflect attention away from their sub-par hardware specs...somehow, someday, if developers pu...
Know who is cooler than Batman? ANY Marvel hero.
Agreed! Why even MENTION games like Halo 5 when they won't be released until after NEXT YEAR'S E3! Hey, if you are gonna do that, why not talk about games that aren't even in development yet! Show a couple concept drawings and some cobbled together footage of the LAST game and tease "Gears of War 4, coming June 2016!"
I get more enjoyment out of many "indie" games than I do out of so-called "AAA" games these days. Want some INNOVATION in your games? Don't look at Call of Duty 15...look at "Transistor" or "Journey".
I despise the attitude that (jealous) Xbox owners have, that "indie" games all suck and should go away. It's not as if a SINGLE indie game displaces a SINGLE "AAA" game. We get the "AAA" games TOO!...
I am looking forward to watching it stream live...they did it the last couple years, so I am assuming we will be able to watch the main presentation on our consoles...anyone know any details about this?
Don't forget about Playstation Now! I am betting one booth is dedicated just to show that off...probably on multiple platforms including Sony Bravia TVs.
Some of us haven't played it yet. I am VERY much looking forward to playing it for the first time on my PS4!
You must not have been paying attention to the recent stories, or developer interest in CURRENT VR technology. Saying "Oh, well, it failed TWENTY YEARS AGO, so it must still suck" is just downright ignorant.
Don't buy EA branded games and half the problem is solved right there!
Xbox's future AS A WHOLE depends on E3, and sales through "Holiday 2014". Unless they can pull something BIG out (and it's not Halo 2 remaster), they are sunk. Sales are in the gutter, they are being outsold 2:1 by the competition, and when you look at numbers for software, that is translating there as well (Wolfenstein actually sold more than 2:1 on the PS4 vs the Xbox).
If all MS has to show are some games, they are toast. Sony is going to launch Playst...
Unless MS introduces "illumiroom" or some other truly innovative tech, the Xbox is going to look PATHETIC at E3. I can see them touting Halo 5 to death...which won't help because it won't launch until after NEXT YEAR'S E3...and Halo 2 remaster...and teasing Gears...then some exclusives that they flat out BOUGHT from devs. Then everyone claps and MS execs pat themselves on the back for delivering the GAMES.
Meanwhile, Sony shows Morpheus VR, lays out wh...
Debate it all you want...split hairs, tell yourself that resolution, frame rates, or pure power doesn't matter...but the end result is that a Kinectless Xbox One loses it's only defining feature. All that's left is an underpowered games box that sells for the same price as it's more powerful competition. Additionally, there are FEWER GAMES available for this box. It's no longer an "Xbox One", it's the "Xbox Done".
You are ABSOLUTELY right! And which console has more games? Which console has more exclusives? Oh, that's right, it's the PS4.
Let's see...I have $400 to spend. I can either get
1. an underpowered console with fewer games...
or
2. the console with the best graphics and a larger number of games to play on it.
Gee...I wonder what most people will buy...
Christ the amount of Xbox fans in this comments section trying to convince themselves and others that their underpowered machine has a chance of competing is typical N4G.
This is not a PS4 article. If the esram has benefits and a Dev says so then great - have him SHOW us how great!
So much delusion. Enjoy your system and don't worry, you've always got that 50% power deficit as clearly demonstrated so far in titles such as Battlefield 4, COD, Assass...
You know, I am VERY tired of this argument. If you have some "secret sauce" to make the Xbox competitive, SHOW US! Don't just talk about how great ESRAM is, or how DX12 is going to change the game...SHOW US in a SHIPPING game, how it's helped to improve performance. Until these id10ts can do this, they are just talking out of their behinds...I don't care who is making the claim, or how experienced...until they SHOW us the goods, it's just so much vapor.
Who pays this guy? He is an overblown hack with too much ego to be a proper analyst! Pachter should go away, and soon. His track record on gaming isn't that stellar, and he comes across like an angry fanboy.
