"Gamers hate change" Really? It's been my experience that gamers LOVE change! They buy new hardware at every chance to experience that change! We love new experiences and we love new games! We will gladly pay you $60-$100 each year for new versions of the games we love!
What we hate is pure, undiluted greed. We hate the changes YOUR company is making.
We can see the direction you are trying to take us, and we reject your "vision"...
All I want is a VR version of "Wip3out"! PLEASE, Sony, make it happen!
"There will be [multiplatform game], [vastly overhyped game], [multiplatform game], [multiplatform game], [multiplatform game], [overhyped rehash] and many more in Q4 2014!"
There, fixed it for you.
I am totally sure he will be playing both the arcade style "Horizons 2" and the GOTY edition of Forza, right? Because most gamers do that, going from arcade racers to simulation style racers, right?
He is just trying to pad his incredibly small list of exclusive games to look better than it actually is.
Does it let you play Diablo III with a controller?
I did, found several videos of EA F'ing their customers!
Sure there is! You can uninstall origin and quit giving EA your money!
Didn't people worry about the same thing with radio? And with TV? Didn't people demonize PINBALL as "potentially addictive"? This just sounds like another Luddite. "FEAR technology! The end is neigh!". Just another fear mongering anti tech idiot. If anything vr has the potential to let humans connect with each other in ways never before possible! I think it will make us MORE social, not less! And who really care if our interactions are virtual or " rea...
Well, those games will actually, you know, be good. And move hardware. This game will be bargain bin material a few months after launch.
Great! Now we just have 3 years to wait for them to deliver on the "AAA" games they start today!
It's not an "amazing deal" if you get suckered (for only $50 no less!) into buying a console that doesn't play games very well. After seeing what the X1 is capable of (look at the video from Sniper Elite 3!) I wouldn't take one even if it were $200!
Considering that the Chinese ban games with "violence" it doesn't leave them much to play. An $800 box had better do something else!
Personally, I don't think that either the PS4 or the Xbox 1 will sell in any significant numbers in that country. This is a country where they love their PC games.
I will get my RPG fix elsewhere. Last game was horrid, and oh look, an EA logo on the box. Remember the "Nintendo Seal of Quality"? The EA logo is like the exact opposite of that...see that logo, and you shouldn't walk away, you should RUN!
Yet another "look" at the most overhyped game of the year! Yay?
Every day that goes by, developers have less and less reason to consider porting their games to the Xbox 1. It already has half the number of games available compared to the PS4...I fully expect that trend to continue.
Who let the 49ers fan in? Sorry, but Sherman spoke nothing but truth...Crabree is mediocre...so is the rest of the team. Note that ESPN just ranked the teams...Seahawks #1....Fortywhiners are at #3. Get used to it.
The only thing being "abandoned" is logic, by a group of whiny, self entitled jerks.
If they weren't blindly loyal to a soulless corporation and made their purchasing decisions based on LOGIC, they wouldn't have this problem in the first place!
There is this strange fallacy being promoted that the video games industry NEEDS Microsoft! What ever did we do a few generations back without them??? Oh yeah, we had consoles with plenty of GOOD games, no DLC, no "timed exclusives" and everyone was just fine!
Remember that even without the Xbox, Sony would still compete with PCs and Nintendo...and then there is Android (including Fire TV, Ouya, and the new Android TV) and iOS to compete with as well.
Move was created in response to the Wii (and Kinect)...but from the start, they were talking about using it for VR.
I think the Move's biggest impact wasn't in how well or poorly it did as a stand alone product, but it will be remembered for jumpstarting Sony's real VR project!
Even today, if you watch interviews with Oculus, Sony and 3rd party developers, you will see people say that Sony's big advantage is that they already have the control ...
Microsoft isn't doing developers any favors with their programs. They restrict them with "parity clauses" and make it MORE difficult for devs to get their games published than the competition. That's in ADDITION to the general lack of communication with ID@Xbox and the inability of them to follow through on promises that they made to make every Xbox One a dev kit.
Even IF they get their act together with the indie devs...you will still have a lot of vocal ...
