However, some of your comments are misleading too... BOTH systems had hiccups. Did MS deliver everything that their consumers wanted? The constant reversals from DRM to Kinect, the UI still has issues, MCC has problems still, etc. MS games were also mediocre. With the Forzas and MCC being the only one with great reviews.

A lot of people complained about the constant PS3 updates. Sony took this to mean we wanted them fewer, but bigger. I think its not the frequency, but how the updates are implemted. On the PS3 is was quite clunky and slow. On the PS4 it can be done in the background, in rest mode, etc. So its not an issue like with the PS3.
How is i the better option...? Price only, or bundles in terms of value?
The PS4 is still the better system performance wise, plus more first party support incoming. The X1 is being sold at a better price this holiday season. Is it the better option in the long term though?

The X1 has not sold more than the PS4 in the US. Where are you getting your numbers from? Also Sony still has the one up on price movement and exclusives in 2015.
