You are correct. I have worn full body armor with a M-60 and combat load (which is about 800-1000 rounds) plus a ruck. That sh1t isn't exactly light. Your mobility is severely limited, but videogames are never realistic anyway. There is a difference between sims and games. Also, paintball and airsoft are not good aproximations because people do stupid crap that anyone with military training would never do in a real world situation.
No, the video store would not become obsolete. Unless I'm mistaken, you can't buy movies or shows from Netflix but you can through the video store. Granted, it would be just as easy to stream them from Netflix, but you wouldn't be able to keep it.

There are so many factors involved in the overall visual appearance of a game and everyone seems to be ignoring it. The art direction of a game plays a huge role in how a game looks. The artists are responsible for how the game looks. If the art design is crap, it doesn't matter what platform it's on it will look like crap.
Consoles freeze from time to time. Uncharted 2 has froze on me once and other than that it's been fine. This is a bullshit story, just like every time a new firmware update comes out and kills PS3s.
But the way I see it, I would rather that they finish the game(s) and then if they are going to release it on the PS3, release it as 1 game. That would neatly avoid any exclusivity contracts and PS3 users would get a complete RPG. Everybody wins.

Maybe it's me, but Bioshock 2 isn't giving me the good vibes because of the MP. The first game didn't have it and this seems like it's being tacked on to fill out the shooter checklist. And before anybody mentions Uncharted, remember 2 things: 1. There were multiple betas and demos for the multiplayer and people got a chance to try it out to see that it was good; 2. ND didn't need 3 other studios to help them out with the MP portion of the game. ...
It's not like that. Most of the things to unlock, which applies only to single player, can be unlocked after you beat the game at least once. The only stuff you can unlock early is the behind the scenes stuff and the art galleries.
If anyone is buying a PS3 now just for Bluray, they are the stupidest motherfvcker alive. There are plenty of cheaper Bluray players on the market that have ethernet ports for firmware updates. People are buying the PS3 now for the games or a combination of the two. Are you really trying to say that the massive uptake in sales of the PS3 that came after the price cut were people interested in movies?
