It's hilarious how much PS4 fanboys care about graphics, when trying to slate Xbox One fanboys
But when PS4 gets destroyed by PC graphics, suddenly graphics don't matter anymore
I've never come across a set of more hypocritical fanboys. You make Apple fanboys look good.
You're getting what you deserve with such an underpowered machine. Enjoy another 6 years of "oooo hopefully this game will be 1080p 60fps!"
...
Well to be fair, the yields should be quite high on such weak components, so there shouldn't be any stock issues.
It's not like they're making cutting edge stuff here.
It won't be just the leaf or handle bar, EVERY SINGLE texture will be on medium
Welcome to 'next gen' gaming.
More like:
I don't have a PC, so I have no choice but to get it on console
Enjoy 'next-gen' gaming below 1080p (probably 720p) on medium settings
:)
I don't have remember a gen where the consoles have been shown to be so weak, before they're even released
But I suppose that's what happens when you're in a recession and have to buy a tablet CPU from AMD
My gtx 680 could run BF3 at 60fps 1080p quite easily, it is a very well optimised game
A 780 will have no problem at all. A 780 could play BF4 at 2560x1600
All on ultra. Not medium like the console version
I think you just wanted to say 'PS4/Medium to Hi End PC' to try and act like the PS4 is, in some warped reality, a high end PC.
It isn't, so stop deluding yourself. There is nothing high end about runni...
This thing has a 1.6ghz tablet processor. It's crazy to expect anything higher than 720p medium
If you want something better, stop whining, calling the devs lazy, and buy a damn gaming PC
If I remember correctly, on BF3 you had low, MEDIUM, high, very high, ultra
So, PS3 vs PS4 = 704p low vs 720p medium = night and day difference
PS4 vs PC = 720p medium vs 1600p ultra (for me, depends what you have) = an even bigger night and day difference.
Damn this really shows how weak the next gen consoles are. In fact it even feels wrong to call them 'next gen'. A basic PC running it at high 720p, or medium 900p would beat it
Considering the destruction, 64 players, medium settings at 720p is probably all you could hope for on a 1.6ghz tablet processor
I suppose that's what happens when you try to save money and buy weak components.
What is extremely worrying is that these compromises are being made before the console is released. There is nothing 'next gen' about medium settings at 720p.
"AMD's Robert Hallock explains"
Pointless article. What do you expect him to say?
It's natural to need to compromise on such weak hardware
People celebrating 1080p 60fps like it's 2006
PC Elitists don't care because they've been playing at 2560x1600 (or above) for years.
Celebrating 1080p is like celebrating buying a ford when your mate has a Ferrari.
BF3 was a very well optimised game. You don't need a beastly rig to run it at 1080p 60fs, probably the same for BF4
They've shown them on two 7970s, because they were early builds and also running at resolutions beyond 1080p
Big boys play on PC. Not an underpowered 1.6ghz box because that's the only thing they could afford.
DDR3 IS GDDR5, just with better timings and lower frequencies (it's a trade off)
What you should really be asking yourself is how the tablet processor will hold up in 2015/2016/2017. This weakness is common to both machines, and has the potential to be a serious bottleneck in later years.
Well, without memory you wouldn't have a video game, so everything.
You know what isn't perfect? 720p on Battlefield 4.
Well, it's only upto to skill so much, since the controller is auto aiming for you.
"We believe that the PS4 could have a life-cycle of around 10 years until we really see the difference in terms of graphics and server capacity when comparing the console to a high-end PC"
Haha. What are they smoking? 10 years? It is already outshined by high end PC's. The real question is when will it be outshined by low end PC's (since that's what the PS4 essentially is)
Even for a website called 'playstationmotion', this is sh...
