720p? 900p? Honestly these 'next gen' consoles are a joke. They can't even meet 1080p, which is the LAST GEN standard (4k is the 'next gen' standard, but you can forget about that)
It could have 4000 Asynchronous Compute Engines. It wouldn't make up for the fact that it has a low number of stream processors (what really matters) and hence can't run all games in 1080p 60fps (Which is the last gen standard. Forget about 4k, the actual next gen standard)
Fanboys will eat anything up if it sounds 'advanced', without actually knowing what it means.
This is fairly meaningless and won't exactly improve performance. Examples? BF4 720p, Watch Dogs 30fps
Yesterdays resolutions on tomorrows consoles.
So powerful that it runs Battlefield 4 at 720p and Watch Dogs at 30fps.
Well if I hear of many more games that are making compromises because the hardware is too weak I'll cancel my pre-order and you can have that one
Even if those games are 1080p, that's a last gen standard, not true 'next-gen'
'Next-gen' is 4K, which neither console has any hope of reaching (unless you want to sit there and watch movies/look at pictures)
It says a lot about the weakness of the hardware when we get excited that it finally reaches standards (1080p) that were pushed 7 years ago
There is a rumour that this might be possible on PS7
...then why is Battlefield 4 720p?
.... then why is Watch Dogs 30fps?
I could go on. Dev's hyping up a machine will lie. Facts don't.
Both consoles are weak and underpowered, which isnt surprising.
You ps4 fanboys just sit here and hate on anyone who says anything bad about the ps4. But if he says something nice about the ps4, 'hey hes a dev he knows what hes talking about'
Honestly you're more annoying than pc elitists and ms fanboys. Its compounded by the fact that your console is also a weak pile of junk, yet you're too in love with your little black box to see it. ...
I've seen it running in person, the ps4 version looks better than the ps3 verison, but still looks like junk compared to the pc version. Even the pc version of bf3 (from 2011) looked better.
I suppose they had to say this. As we near release and the hype dies down, reality sets in. Just yesterday we found out Watch Dogs will be 30fps. Laughably awful.
But I suppose that's what happens when you have a low end gpu and shockingly low end cpu. It's not even funny how bad that cpu is. It's just sad to see how poor the release games are
And no, you won't see 'big jumps' later in the cycle. You saw it with the PS3 because it was ...
Why does the PS4 have to gimp my PC Games :(
Weak consoles are weak. Everyone could see this. Sadly the fanboys are only starting to see this.
Even with optimisation and Mark Cerny hyping things you don't understand, you can only take weak components so far.
Also don't forget, the only reason they got more out of the ps3 at the end is that it was an unfamiliar architecture. This is x86, very familiar, they're not going to squeeze much more juice out of it. You're stuck with these...
I'd rather talk about the corrosive effect of him tripling university tuition fees.
You need to get laid if you get offended so easily
Peasants arguing over which cheap box is slightly more powerful than the other cheap box
When in reality, they're both laughably underpowered.
My GTX 780, i7 4770k @ 4.5ghz and 2560x1440 panel are ready!

Well then they can take your 'music' out of the game, and then even less people will know who you are.
