Ratchet & Clank TOD was one of the most unappreciated game of this gen. It was just like playing through a pixar movie. LOL @ game reviewers stating it had too much variety.

Same was said about last year Oct/Nov and year before. The gaming has grown exponentially with amazing titles.

I think the problem with SE is that they are taking too long with FF-XIII and in the mean time they released a couple of half baked games and not to mention there failure to release a single game on a console whose predecessor was there bread butter and which has a bigger install base in Japan than the 360 where JRPGs really matter. I doubt there will be ICO3 at E3, reason being that I believe TeamICO will most probably announce the game at TGS09, or may be we will see a teaser trailer at E3 and a full fledge announcement at E3.
Whats certain at e3 is:
Uncharted 2, MAG, GOW3, GT5, Ratchet & Clank: Crack in Time, Heavy Rain, Quantum Theory, NGS2, WKC US release, Twisted Metal and a few new announcement and other exclusive PSN titles. So far the list is looking very healthy.
I am just worried about the whole server issues. This is a MP only game and I am really hoping there servers are ready for it. Otherwise we will have another Socom (great game was screwed because of initial server issues) in our hands & by the amount of online shooters out there and coming out, no one will hardly be giving any game a second chance.
On a side note I was hoping this game would have been a tps rather then fps. Because PS3 doesn't really have any top-notch third person ...

The gameplay seems a bit faster than the previous game. There isn't a big graphical jump between the two sequels, but yeah it looks great. The water in the first was amazing. I am guessing it will be released in late August like the first one.
I was hoping for more maps, but two would do for now. Here is hoping they increase the level caps as well as increase the badges for every class to provide more depth.
The didn't really had anything last year at this point as well. They had bunch of exclusives like NG2 and a couple of others nothing too extraordinary. But they finished off the year with a price cut and worthy exclusives like Gears 2 and Fable 2. I am really hoping they have more but soo far the scene looks pretty stale. By the way as far as i remember they didn't had anything during the first 2 quarters in 2007 as well there year began with Bioshock and ended with MassEffect 1.

GTA4 was a good game, it just wasn't a 10/10 game like everyone else gave it be. I would have given it a solid 8.5

@1.8 thats a PC footage, they haven't shown the console versions yet and the game isn't out until 2010. Plus the game will look slightly better on ps3.

Microsoft at last year E3 was lame, there major announcement was that a Sony exclusive is multiplatform and is still exclusive to PS3 in a region where JRPG makes 60% of there business. I think the issue with Microsoft right now is that they are trying too hard to capture Sony and Nintendo's audience while forgetting about there core audience. This year I can expect Microsoft to show MGS5 as a multiplatform game as there big gun.

I played LP on 360, it was infact my second game, the first one was obviously Gears of war and after playing Gears, LP felt like complete crap. The game was way to slow, and the main character movement was slow as well. Plus his inability to reload while moving and the slow @$$ animation of getting up once knocked down by a missile or mech. It was just bad. The boss battles were cool, apart from that the game was crap.
Well atleast PSP is getting a lot of love lately, which is a good thing. But I guess you are right, and this is the same problem that Sony's Peter Dille said the other day to gamasutra that these devs need to create original content for PSP rather than dumb down ports. Nobody wants to play the two versions of the same game.
