I agree with you on that. It was a bit annoying. The guy from Turn10 was really annoying when he said "The definitive racing game of this generation" like 15 times during his 5 min speech. i mean i love Forza 2, I bought day 1 and i am definitely loving what they are doing with Forza 3 but I think it's the gamers who should be deciding whether the game is the definitive racing game or not and not the developers bragging about there game.
I would give it a solid B+. It was a great conference, i loved the idea of natal but i am still a bit skeptical about how it will work when it gets released. I was pretty satisfied with Microsoft conference this year. It was much better than last year, atleast they focused on there exclusive contents more than multiplatform games. I don't really care about Metal Gear Rising coming on 360 because Kojima San never promised it to be a PS3 exclusive, I would have been pissed if MGS4 had came out on 360, because it was promise to be a game that was made for the PS3. I loved the idea of Natal & if it turns out what Microsoft is promising it to be, just imagine what gaming would be in the future. No controller no barrier, play as you like. It's an awesome idea but I am still skeptic on the voice recognition and full body motion capture etc. working like the way they were showing.
I do think the game looks very similar to Gears of War, like character models, guns etc & it's not a bad thing, Gears of War is an amazing game and if they can pull off some kind of 5x5 or 8x8 multiplayer it will be very sweet. In anycase from what I have seen so far it's on my must play list.

Boss battles will be epic. Even if he only fights Hades, Apollo, Poseidon & Zeus it will one epic game. I can't wait to see what's the first boss you fight in this game. Every iteration of GOW had epic first boss battles, God of War 1 had Hydra and they topped it with Colossus of Rhodes and for psp capabilities basilisk was huge.
I still don't understand why there were so many pre-E3 announcements made by Sony. I mean we have seen almost every game coming out this year or till Spring 2010. It's either Sony has some really amazing announcement that will blow everyone's mind off or Sony has gone mad. I mean there is not much surprise left, with PSP Go leaked as well so we know a new PSP is coming and people wouldn't be surprised if PS3 slim is announced at E3. Sony must have some really big announcement waiting for us. ...
It's good if it's not coming out this year. I just don't see enough room for another shooter this year. We already have Killzone 2, and MW2, BF BC2, and Uncharted 2 are all coming out in the next 6-8 months. Plus games like Heavy Rain, GOW3, WKC, Demon Souls, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, Ratchet TOD2, plus Multiplatform games like BioShock 2, AC2 etc. etc. all coming out within the same period of time, it would have been lost in the crowd of sequels and big name titles.

Thats not possible, that is insane. The game looked so mind blowing back then, if it looks better than last year footage, there will be some severe competition between Killzone 2, Uncharted 2 and Heavy Rain for best graphics of 2009.
If they could bundle the bluray movies with this game, then its a must buy otherwise I don't see that much appeal for this game. I may be wrong, lets hope for the best.
Well if they pull off the same level of story, pacing, AI and characters like Uncharted 1, it is my game of the year already. & if they can do multiplayer at the level of gears (i.e, without bugs and glitches) and minimal lag then I am all for it. I guess Uncharted 2 is Sony's answer to Gears 2. I really hope they can pull it off.
By the way did anyone notice the water animation in the new trailer when drake runs through water, it looked absolutely epic.
Actually there was another game, i have forgotten its name, it was canned for ps3, it had around 40-50 at once, the game was alright not the best out there. I am guessing it was released around feb last year.
both of you, its a matter of opinion. Killzone 2 is one of the best shooter i have ever played & the tech powering the game is a sight to behold, but in my opinion the story was not as engaging as uncharted 1, atleast the first half of killzone 2 had little or no story. It doesn't make Killzone 2 a bad game. Its one of the best games this gen, i just rank uncharted higher than killzone 2 because I had way more fun playing uncharted than killzone 2, same cannot be said about you.
I hope the multiplayer beta is worldwide as well. Sony show some love to EU gamers.:(
It better be for AU as well or I will be pissed, I preordered the game last friday & yes I loved Uncharted 1, it is the second best experience you can get on the ps3, (MGS4 obviously the #1).
Release the bloody game outside of Japan.:(
I am pretty sure they will pack this content for the NA/EU release.
