That was lame as well, considering its a low end machine, & it is in more competition with PS1 than anyother console.
It'a fps, with open world elements to it as well as racing/driving. I read long time back when it was announced that it will have 30-40% driving and 60-70% action but again they said this may change by the time the game is released.

Yeah the character models and environments look really impressive and better than that of Killzone 2, but Killzone 2 is more of a technical beast, with soo much happening on screen and lightening effects that are way beyond any console game out there. Regardless of that Heavy Rain looks really really amazing & they haven't shown us an actual game level what was shown before was just a demo to show gameplay.
Gears 2 was announced last year GDC, LBP, Home was announced GDC07. So games do get announced at gdc.

I agree with you, 3d trophies would have been the biggest hook and people would have been constantly logged in home. They have been doing stuff to improve it, but I think they really need to prioritize what is required the most.
i am guessing an announcement from Team ICO, PSP version of LBP, GOW 3 gameplay video, Uncharted 2, Heavy Rain and Infamous gameplay footage, plus most probably Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 and Quantum Theory gameplay footage plus a couple of other psn & psp games & a few announcements regarding Home, as far as Price cut is concerned, GDC is not the place for it, it will most probably happen at E3 or Sony's Gamers Day 09. I have a 360 and I only had RRoD once and my 360 was replaced with in 2 weeks time. But it's funny, I am pretty sure if PS3 had RROD problem, it would have most probably killed it, people would have tore open a whole in the ozone layer, but when it happens to 360 it is fine, nothing to see here :P
Why don't we all wait and see which version is superior? The PS3 version isn't even announced yet and people have started whining already.
Demon's Souls is I guess one of the surprises of 2009. It sold really well considering it was released with little or no hype and if anyone has read players views on Gaf, they will know it's a pretty awesome game.

I feel sorry for this game, PS3 just has too many better shooters right now, considering Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 are still fresh and I don't most of Killzone 2 players going away from it until COD6 MW2 tops it. Too bad the game had so much potential, I still don't understand why they messed it up so bad, from the horrible beta till now, they just couldn't pull there act together.
Too bad, for whatever RE5 did was 1 step forward (visuals) and quite a few steps backward (horrible controls, more action oriented but with age old controls). RE5 was suppose to be a Action/Horror game not Action/Action game. I guess Dead Space is the king of Survival Horror this generation(so far).
It's funny as the world falls apart if there is an issue with socom or warhawk or resistance 2 multiplayer, but I didn't notice any media bashing for Gears 2.

I still don't get how people compare 360 lineup of 2008? 360 had two exclusives worth playing Gears 2 and Fable 2. Thats it, & those were released in the last few months of 2008, they didn't had anything in 2008 apart from that, sure Too Human, Ninja Gaiden 2 and Banjo was released but were they great games? sure Gears 2 was a great game and sold crazy but was there really anything else?
