What happens when you are paying for PS+ and you can't find anyone to play with on a multiplayer game? Does not that bring into question the nature of paying for multiplayer access?
This is the problem with subscription services, There should be a law that mandates manual renewal of them. So many of these services just rely on the laziness of consumers which essentially allows these companies to keep draining your bank account without effort. Consumer only starts to notice when it all piles up and is too late.
You also need to consider that NVIDIA are heavily invested in cloud gaming. So they are likely going to make moves to push you into yet another life subscription service.
This is the same Ubisoft that got given the Avatar IP and hardly anyone bought the game despite Digital Foundry's best attempts to convince people to buy it in a round about manner. Ubisoft have been rapidly losing trust of the consumer and this just continues that trend.
Common Xbot/PC player misconception. majority of games are playable from disc without patch data
"Microsoft" we all read between the lines. We have seen the exact same thing happen with many of their other acquisitions
True, but most modders need constant admiration during the process to motivate them.
I think only Rebellion would make a new game and they have said they are done making games based on other peoples ip's
and put out a physical version at the end, it is extra money for them at the end of the day.
Pachter the part time Microsoft employee. I knew it before I even clicked on the link.
The best model is the one we have, buying the games you actually want to play. The all you can eat buffet model is just an illusion to make one company rich and everyone else poor combined with drop in quality. They have run the experiment and they are one of the worlds richest companies and it failed. Time for them to accept it and move on.
The key is in the name Micro"soft" software is what they have always specialized in. Their hardware attempts have always been a highway to nothing, Zune, Kin, Phone, Band, Surface, Xbox. They should just focus on being a publisher.
60fps on PS5 Pro it is then. Until Microsoft make an excuse, we don't have PS5 Pro devkits (Sony says you don't need one to support it) or hidden parity clause in Microsoft T&C.
Seeing as the game sold 10 to 1 on PS4 vs Xbox it will surely be my favorite short game as I'll never even play the sequel. It's almost as bad as business move when Xbox got Rise of the Tomb Raider for a year and everyone was like nope.
Ryse, ReCore....... I guess Killer Instinct?
Not quite sure what the end game is here? Sony and Microsoft essentially end up paying the piper to Valve? I know Microsoft won't accept that, but it seems like Sony is? I can't remember who said it but it goes something like this "Platform holder is king" Sony while selling many PS5's right now will feel a slump in sales when the PS6 comes along because of their push into PC and not being a platform holder there. Sony needs to remember it is people paying $70 for their ...
Another failed online backed project by Microsoft, Reminds me when Phil thought he had a winner with PUBG and it was a complete damp squid.
Gran Turismo turning into a live service was a mistake.
Phil Spencer blames [insert anything but himself here]
If developers are publishers are concerned about people modding their games they should stick to a closed platform. You can't put a game on an open platform and expect no one to mod it.
