No, terrible idea. The MP and Horde in Gears is fantastic. Plus Gears still has a pretty cinematic Story mode already. Don't need to turn it even more cinematic.

What exactly am I failing to understand? What makes that boss fight better than even the Hydra in GoW1? It was repetitive, it had 3 stages that played out exactly the same.
Yes the combat gets a little better later when you finally start getting some power moves and modifiers, but it still lacks the combo depth the old games had.
I have Gears 4 on both due to Play Anywhere. Why?
Horror and open world don't really go well together. And an open world 3rd person shooter would just drag on wayyyy too long. These campaigns are best played with a heavy narrative focus with large, fun set pieces.
They already started a new trilogy. I'd like to see how they follow up the plot lines they created.
God of War is a solid game, but I just don't get the 10's personally. The boss fights (besides the 3rd fight on the mountain, if you got there you know what I mean) all have been pretty dull. Yes, even the Stranger fight everyone is drooling about. I just don't get what everyone sees that makes that fight "The best boss in the series".

They sort of had that with the sacks you could shoot down and hide behind, but having fully destructible environments would be awesome on easier modes, but brutal in Insane difficulty.

Are you kidding? The Stranger fight was so basic it was nauseatingly repetitive and bland. Hell, the Hydra from GoW1 was a better opening than this fight.
I thought my Pro was growling at me. It sounded mad.

There are many things to keep entertained in this game. This is just sort of a big risk doing stuff like this due to at any moment they could be attacked and all that loot stolen.
Xbox One X is only like an Elite if you just mean its still in the Xbox One family like the Elite is still a 360 console...
The X and Elite are very different as far as hardware leaps go.
