One of my more anticipated games this year. Absolutely loved the first. I should have just enough time to finish my GoW play through and role right into this. It's a good year for gamers.

The first game had flaws as well, but again, the quality gameplay experience still made it a fantastic game.

This sequel looks fantastic, can't wait.

@The Wood

Since when has DLC ever really added 2 extra maps the same size as the original map, put in over double the amount of AI personalities, updated the graphics exponentially, added an entire online system for Co-op etc?

The first game sold over 5million copies btw

The game is very fun if you like a true survival base building game.

The first game was the same price. it's not meant to be a big AAA series. The first game was very popular, one of the most successful Xbox Arcade games selling over 5million copies.

This game improves on the first game in every way. 3 maps the size of the first games, More base building, better AI, more world events, over double the amount of character traits, better graphics etc.

I'm not sure what people are expecting? Did you guys think they wer...

Yeah I'm not getting it either. it literally improves on the first game in EVERY way.

Drastic improvements? The game is already a drastic improvement to the first game lol

You can leave them to it, sure, but be prepared to deal with the repercussions of not managing your base. The game is all about creating a community and you're the leader. If one of your people is messing up, you need to deal with it before something bad happens. You can always take them out back and shoot them as well. Up to you.

Fail? The first game was one of the most successful XLA games selling over 5million copies. This games is improving every aspect of the first game. I can't see how it will fail.

Uh, I don't think you'll be wanting to stray too far from each other in this game anyway. Getting caught in a horde alone is dangerous. That being said, I can see that getting a patch if the distance from each other is TOO small. Like if you cant't even ransack the next house over without it teleporting you.

$29.99

But it is a full fledged game. It has 3 maps and each one is bigger than the first games map. Has more locations, different building aspects, more than double the AI personalities, better graphics, Co-op etc.

It's easily a sequel

I'll repost this here as well I guess since we are repeating comments.

"Isn't a sequel suppose to take it's original game and expand upon it? Make things smoother, better graphics, bigger areas, have more things to do etc. etc. State of Decay 2 checks all of those boxes..."

Because that's all it essentially is. There is barely any interaction

Ugh, too many walking sim jump scare games lately. Hence why I really didn't enjoy Until Dawn. Not only was it bad jump scares, but the butterfly effect thing was pointless. All that changes is who runs out the front door at the end.
