Oh for sure. But even the other GoWs also started really bombastic. Even the first game started with a Hydra attack on your boat.
I know this GoW is going more cinematic focus, but there will be gamers who just don't prefer that style and would rather things be like the older games.
Uncharted 4 was not the benchmark. That goes to Uncharted 2.
Who the F really cares? He is acting like he is trying to keep his job or something
I mean UC4 had like 112 or so on Meta and plenty more not on meta... so a decent chunk that could effect the overall score. Not saying that the game deserves any lower than an 8, but you know there is gunna be some troll reviews that will give it a 7. I mean even UC4 got a red score on Meta.
@dark
Yeah, you can't please everyone for sure. And maybe they are stuck on the old GoW which always started of balls to the wall... especially GoW3 so maybe he was expecting an opening like that and felt disappointed.
Believe it or not, there are some gamers who game on all consoles and don't ONLY praise one. I know that's hard to believe for some brand loyalists out there.
Why are articles like this coming out before the other half of the reviews release? I mean the game hasn't even come out. There is a good handful or so reviews that will be counted on Meta that didn't get early review copies. Maybe wait until then?
Right? As if 8.6 is even remotely a bad score anyway...
Or... OR it could have been awesome like the previous GoW's and started awesome and continued to be awesome all the way through.
Believe it or not, some people don't like to sit through hours of walking and talking in a video game, especially a game like GoW...
Well coming off GoW 3... I can see how expectations may be set really high. GoW3 had one of the best most bad ass openings to a game ever.
Which, honestly, GTAIV really only deserves around an 8. No way that game is a 98.
Lol really? You just don't want to have to change your profile pic to 94 just in case it gets counted, right? Haha
@showtime & trooper
Okay...? I mean SoT doesn't really feel incomplete to me, just needs some extra content to keep it fresh. I have already gotten over 40 hours out of it and will get more when additional content drops. My crew and friends are still really enjoying it.
I'll also be playing GoW and Spider-Man for my single player fix. State of Decay 2 will be mostly SP with some Co-op with my brother.
I'm just not entirely convinced GoW will beat it as far as total cool bosses, but there will no doubt be some good ones in GoW as well. 4 more days!
"Game of the generation"
Well, it's gunna have to beat Bloodborne for it to become that for me. We'll see if Kratos can kill my Hunter on the 20th :)
I dont know about you, but I'm currently playing Sea of Thieves, then GoW on the 20th, then May will be State of Decay 2, then Spider-Man. I got a nice mix of exclusives for both consoles.
The Switch sold over 35mil units already?
Actually got my brother in law back into gaming knowing he can play World at War (his favorite game last gen) as well as the new CoD WW2... so I'd say it's paying off. I doubt he is the only one
@Liam
Your argument holds no weight because you still have the option to purchase the game. And if someone wants to buy these 3 games to keep playing them, they can do so and even get a discount for it if they buy before the 30th.
GamePass has given me the opportunity to play some games that I previously didn't because I never wanted to buy them. Like Super Luckys Tale. Turns out my daughter loves it and it's actually a pretty decent game to where...
