It'd be very interesting to see how much attention the xbox scorpio will get from 3rd party devs...considering that if Devs can handle making games for all these platform. As for exclusives, MS need more 1st party games than what they have now to complete with Sony.
Graphics won't matter if devs still uses 3 to 4 light source(that includes the number of darks and shawdows) in thier games.
The double amount of RAM for a dev kit is unheard of......Devs will be able to debug anything with ease.
I'm not really impressed with Forza 6(or GT sports) Scorpio demo because Forza 6 is a first gen game. Not to mention, MS optimised the hell out of Forza 6 to get it to run on xbox one. That said, there's not enough of reflections, refraction, Dynamic skies, fog effects to give it realism. The real magic will happen when MS use DX12.
To mikeslemonade
Agreed
Should be photorealistic to the naked eye and it isn't there. Forza and GT are both underperforming to my standards. My friend me and you think alike. Photorealistic graphics can be accomplished by having lots of light source and effects as opposed to having high res textures.
4k is awesome but rather trade the 4k graphics for a live breathing worlds. I want everything to move in a game. Trees blowing in the wind, lots of effects, dynamic lighting(including darks and shawdows on mutiple level), etc.
Personally speaking, I think 4k graphics are wonderful but I think all you'll get is crispier grahpics that does nothing more but look pretty.
Micosoft might need some first party exclusive to stay competative against Sony because gamers like varity. As for 3rd party developers Xbox scorpio will be heavily supported because 3rd party developers like to stay on top of cutting edge technology. DX12 offers that to them. Jumping on the xbox scorpio will help all game developers in the long run because DX11/open GL aren't cutting it anymore. Game graphics/framerate won't get any better if Devs stay on DX11.
YOU HAVE NOTHING TO SAY AS USUAL. ANYWAYS.
Let me clarify on some things I didn't mention on my previous commit.
No one knows what Nintendo is doing inside their company. But, I don't think it would hurt anyone if i make a few predictions here and there.
so far, a few of my prediction seems to have come true in a sense. I predicted that Nintendo would go back to the way of the N64. I know I know - Its still hasn't
been c...
Nintendo are making all the right moves from what I can tell so far. If they use FLASH memory instead of blu ray for the NX's physical media, it will give them huge advantage in making NX hardware design much smaller. Based on their recent patent, I see that this console will have a HDD which could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on its overall functions. Just about every portable device with a internal HDD inside will prevent it from reaching above average run/play time. Its no ...
Man, do any of you realize this could be a great start to get better ps plus free game.
How? through advertisement. with over 20 million ps4 owners that would be possible to make that happen.
Sony can make a deal with the publishers. At the voting webpage, they can ad a 30 sec advertisement at the top.
The deal is for everyone that sees the entire 30sec advertisement, from start to end; and would entered in to a counter system as being fully...
The NX need to be future proof for several reasons.
1) Most gamers will be VR spoiled, meaning that anything below 90fps would seem a bit low. That said, It would be very difficult to except anything below 90fps once VR become mainstream. By then, we'd grown heavily accustomed at that frame rate speed which would make it hard to let go. So, if I were Nintendo I would try to predict what the next gaming systems would be like next gen. Personally speaking, if I were Ninten...
With 20 million NX sold in a year.
hardware Power alone is not going to get them there.
They need to regain "Trust" from gamers. Its Something I see they don't really have much of for their console business.
Ah, they do have a lot of trust in mobile business. I think that sounds like a 20 million dollar question to me. what do you guys think?
Forgot to mention make the shoulder button analog that can be switched on or off.
Plus, going mobile gamers won't be too fussy about power either.
Very Good analyst indeed.
I was thinking the same for Nintendo NX. I think Nintendo will make the NX a VR portable system because it gives them more control over the gaming mobile market they already have control of anyways. Nintendo pretty much own the gaming mobile market so it makes much sense for them to go in to VR mobile because the VR mobile market will most like likely have less competition there. Not to mention,Sony VR won't be a threat to NX VR since its a VR ha...
Xbox One Has A Stronger CPU Than PS4 - Ark: Survival Evolved Developer.
Actually, power is everything. To be honest, Between the two hardware(x1/ps4) I am seeing a much more progress happening on Xbox one hardware simply because MS have output more 1st party games than Sony.So far, MS have produced 3 racing game(and a 4th car game is on the way) while Sony produced one car game(drive club)Also, I see MS toying around with different ways to improve their remastered games. The f...
Key word. "Semi custom" The wii U hardware isn't using semi custom parts, the NX will.
That means Nintendo won't be going with existing components on the market which is a good start.
Well, One thing I'd to say here, Nintendo's will most likely go with a 1080p 60fps capable hardware because it was something that helped made their games shine on the Wii U. That said, I think Nintendo will follow the same path and assure that the NX ca...
Intel. That cool. Sound like Nintendo are finally going for a much higher clock speed for the NX. No offense AMD has good cpu but Intel has better CPU than AMD. the faster the CPU the better.
Another things, I really hope Nintendo go with a NAND storage space for game storage which would give it better loading time. Get rid of the weak link and Squash having the same movable parts a HDD has.
@PockyKing
Port - no change. Well, the term port in the marketing world is pointless. So publishers would rather use the term remaster because most consumer would most likely see it as something that is done all over again.
The remastered games I've seen so far aren't really remasters because most of the work are done by the computer. Its just as simple as changing visual output parameters of a game to scale the graphics and frame rate a bit. very litt...
I also agree. I have no desire for VR anymore. I brought the oculus cv1 a few months back and to tell you the truth, I got bored of it very quickly because all you do(for most games) is sit in one spot and fire shots at enemies. I knew then, VR wasn't ready...maybe someday, but not today.
