Good list. I'd like the PS5 to have a very fast up-scaler chip capable of outputting resolution up to 5-6k. Of course, it should have HDMI 2.1 support. VRR support included as well.
I would never say to end the Halo franchise.I'd rather MS postpone Halo for a change and allow MS to explore new ideas. That's all I'm saying. Besides, the last Halo story wasn't anything to brag about.
That's wonderful news.
Agreed, taking on new challenges will make them a better developer skill wise.
looks good. I like what I'm seeing so far.
@darthv722
I'll give you another example. MS did not care much for single RPG games until they saw the success of guerrilla games horizon zero dawn. After that, MS want their very own OpenWorld single player RPG. MS could've announced a new IP but instead, they claimed to make a new Fable open world game. Mind you, horizon zero dawn is a new ip while Fable is not a new ip.
If Anthem wasn't scheduled to be released in 2019 then I'd say bring on Halo 6.But imo, I think Halo 6 is going to be overshadowed by Anthem.
Halo is a wonderful franchise but I'd rather the Coalition work on a new IP instead because MS lineup of games is starting to become too predictable. Look at sony's sucker punch, they could've done the obvious and make a new infamous second son, but they didn't. They created Ghost of Tsushima instead. Good move Sony.
Sound like a lazy way to make games.
SOD2 looks pretty good to me. I can't wait to see more gameplay footage.
@Vasto
I've been thinking...the next-gen console will not run games at 1080p 60fps anymore. I think next gen console will run games at 2k 60fps with the option of running games at 4k 30fps for some games. I personally think some games really need be designed with the highest graphics fidelity to bring the artist's vision to life.
That isn't a smart idea buddy because It takes about 2-3 years for devs to make their first gen games on gaming consoles.Plus, that's not enough time for Devs to master a Dev kit.
The 7nm processor is scheduled to come out next year(2019) followed by a 5nm processor scheduled to release in 2020. So by 2020, the 7nm process would be considered old tech.
MS is willing to listen to us, that's a good thing.
I'd say wait until 2020 to release the next-gen console simply because I don't want the next-gen gaming to have a mobile processor like ps4/xbox one x. By 2020, there will be 5nm - 7nm CPU/GPU available on the market. The 5nm - the 7nm process should give us a gaming console that is 40-50% power boost over the previous gaming console. Plus, using a 5nm -7nm processor means less heat generated by at least 70%. That's a lot of improvement compared to the 16 nm FinFET process used in...
My educated guess: Every game produced is a risk. That said, there's a 50% to 50% change a game will fail. Another point is, some games may or may not meet the Devs expectations. For example, the Devs might make a game with long-term investments in mind. But unfortunately, the games don't last very long. That being said, most games lose it's value and fun factor rather quickly. Remember, games are very expensive to make especially when a Devs start to think outside the box to make...
I agree that the PS4 lineup of better games was one of the reasons MS lost last gen race. However, I still think the launch titles for both the PS4/xbox one wasn't enough for gamers to past judgment. Remeber MS had left a good impression with the Xbox 360 so gamers had to wait to see if MS could do it again at the early stage of this gen. Another issue was the Xbox One was priced 100 dollars more than the PS4. That said, Most gamers really didn't care much for the Kinect. It was later...
It's very likely that MS and Sony will have 4k/60 capable gaming machine for next Gen console.So far, MS has given us all some clues as to where gaming is headed in the future. One clue: the deal with Samsung and MS to add VRR to their upcoming TVs is a clear sign that MS is interested in having a 60fps in their games. Anything below 60fps would be pointless to have VRR. Sure VRR would work with a lesser framerate but the gaming experience wouldn't be the same at 60fps. As for 4k, it ...
So what he gonna do put red tips on guns in video games.
I bought the Xbox one x a few months back and haven't bought a game yet other than gears 4. That's Bad. MS problems are they don't have the games people want badly.
