No offense Sega all-star racing is a great game but I've been dying for a new virtual fighter game for years.
You're right. But one thing I know about Nintendo is that they thrive on repeated successes. They normally like making games that have that has generated the most money(and success) for them in the past. Now don't get me wrong I'm not saying Nintendo is going to reveal a new Metroid game at e3 2018. I'm saying that what ever new game they reveal at e3 it's most likely going to be a game we all have grown to love.
If Nintendo could reveal a new 2D Metroid game by Retro studio at e3 2018 I would be very happy
I think Sony and MS introduced their mid-gen refresh because they wanted to keep up with the PC market like the article states. But this move by MS/Sony wouldn't have been possible if 4k tv wasn't affordable. So it's likely we won't get another mid-gen refresh from Sony/MS because 6k/8K tv will be too expensive and required lots of processing power at a very high cost. The only solution I think Sony/MS has is add a very fast upscaler chip( that's capable of outputting res ...
AMD and a few other manufacturers just recently made a breakthru in CPU/GPU fabrication, which has allowed them to shrink the transistors way beyond any other fabrication technique used in the past. Before then, the previous fabrication of chips came to a halt and has made it difficult to shrink transistors on a wafer. Now, that they've recently made a breakthu thing in CPU/GPU fabrication are going to move much faster than ever before. If anyone Google it...you'll find that some man...
I agree Sony has a number of game for the PS4. They haven't even talked about Robotech yet.
2020 makes more sense to release the ps5, especially If Sony decides they want to make a PSVR version two for the ps5 With that being said, they would definitely need the extra grunt in processing power.
SOT looks fantastic but I wasn't surprised when I first saw it on youtube. Apparently, MS lacks the wow factor.
Very impressive. If Sony keeps this up they're definitely going to reach 100 million install base by mid/late-2019.
I think it really because of several Big Titles releasing this holiday. I think the TLOU2 will be released sometime in Nov 2018.
Sony made the right decision especially if TLOU2 is announced to be released during 2018 holiday season. I also think this would give Sony time to make a decent amount of DLC for TLOU2 if they haven't already.
Forgot to add.
So, If I were Sony/MS I'd would wait a full year until the 7nm processor come down in cost and then make their next gaming in 2020.
Sony would be stupid to release the PS5 in 2018/2019. Here's Why.
The PS4/pro and Xbox one x both have a 16nm FinFET processer today. And if MS/Sony were to release their next-gen console in 2018/2019 then it's likely that the next processor of choice would have to be 10nm. But unfortunately, the 10nm processor won't be available to MS/Sony because AMD/GlobalFoundries(who supplies AMD chips) think the 10nm is a pretty weak node. , AMD will skip the 10nm node and...
Never mind It works on wide screens.
Xbox One X/ Xbox one s will support variable refresh rate on AMD Radeon FreeSync displays.....That's cool. My question is would this feature work on ultra wide monitors as well. 21:9. After all, some ultra wide monitors have FreeSync.
Though, I really wasn't expecting any new announcement for the Xbox on inside Xbox because MS have to save it for e3 2018.
What do Sega and Capcom have in common.... they're both Japanese developers. With that being said, Its obvious MS want to get the Japanese gamers on their side. I admire MS ambitions and perseverance.History has shown us that MS have tried numerous time to grab the Japanese audience attention for years. They refuse to give up.
Personally speaking, A new IP would be a risky business so I'm guessing MS would try to get a well-known existing IP.
I believe Sony delayed Days gone because it would have be better or just as good as TLOU2 especially if TLOU2 comes out before Days gone.
Gears 4 is the only game I bought so far. I might get SOD2 once it comes out because the graphics look pretty decent and it has 4 player co-op. Anyways, I hope to see some new IP from MS at this year e3 2018. time will tell. By the way, what game do you recommend?
Sure MS has a few good games however they lack variety. They hardly have any new ip at the present time which sucks. MS need to explore new concepts and ideas and implement them in new games.also, MS Devs need to be challenged more because Sony's Devs will eventually become masters at their craft and improve on their skill each time they make a new Ip. As a computer animation and media art major, when making a new ip you have to start from top to bottom. As for existing ip some stuff will...
You're correct. Most Devs are extremely ambitious and want to shoot above a console, or even PCs pay grade.Well, I have worked with 3d application as such as Mya/3d max and one thing I always notice I do(as well as some of my classmate) we tend to add lots of effects to a character model or an environment because it looks better. But the reality is when you start to render a scene and it doesn't work you have to cut out lots things like lighting, fog effects, reflections, refractions,...
