I see a pattern. I noticed when MS release a game and it doesn't make enough profit for their company they won't make a sequel. This has been the case with many of their franchises. New and old.
Sony should never underestimate MS regardless of their dominance status. Of course, it would take MS a while to get their 1st party together to compete with Sony's 1st party talents. But I wouldn't go as far as to say MS can't make a comeback. Time will tell.
I highly doubt MS would allow Sony to get a head start next gen. The same goes for Sony. I think both MS and Sony are keeping a close eye on each other in case they have to make quick changes to their plans.
Keep in mind MS and Sony has to put in their order for hardware parts from AMD(or whomever) one to two years in advance to ensure they meet the demands for making enough next-gen console to supply the world.
I watched a few Bloodforge gameplay footages on youtube and I think there is some similarity to GOW. However, I think Bloodforge has some potential to be something great if it's funded well along with good talented Devs. Besides, MS doesn't have many options because like I've mentioned before Its very difficult(take long) to come up with new concepts. Considering the amount of stuff that has already been copyrighted.
Edit: I think MS should reboot the Bloodforg...
I got to say after playing God today I can tell you that SSM has really improved their game making skills. The level of detailed graphics is extremely amazing. One major thing that I see a big improvement in is the proper use of contrast.
That being said, everything pops right out of the screen which looks very appealing to the naked eye. At least for me.
The musical soundtrack is just as appealing. Keep up the good work SSM.
I predict the new Studio Sony is openi...
The writer of this article should have at least mentioned a few games he does like to give me a better understanding of his taste in games.
Thank you Barlog we need more game Director like you.
My bad. Of course, MS not only need to play to their strength(mutliplayer/1st person shooters/Racing sims) they need to make SP games like Sony. I guessing left that part out since I thought most gamers already knew MS need some SP experience on their gaming machine. Again, my bad. I'll try to explain myself a little better next time.
I don't know. I know that my Gamestop stores are doing an after the midnight release(4/19/18) of Gow/Gow bundles. So Be sure to check your nearby GameSpot to find out if there are doing the same thing.
One more day. I'm picking up my Gow bundle after midnight tomorrow, can't wait.
I find it quite strange that there are countless articles written in the last week or so about the PS5 but not for the XBOX2.
What about adding new enemies/New Boss fight and finally giving the kracken a body/head in Sot?
Good read.
From the article:
As stated earlier, gamers want the best visuals at the beginning of a new generation so capitalizing on the marketing hype is key to success.
I think MS should make higher framerate their main(OR ONLY) priority with a slightly better visual upgrade for their next-gen console to keep the cost low as possible. That said, even if the PS5 is priced at $400 and the next box is priced at $450 and it has a faster CPU and a slightly better GPU t...
This article doesn't make any sense.
I totally I agree, but MS having the title of the Most powerful console for the Xhas worked for them. So they'll try to do it again next gen.
It's very unlikely that MS/Sony would be able to do it again nextgen because they did it at the time when 4k tv was affordable. With that being said, the only thing they can offer to gamers next gen is higher framerate considering that 6k -8k tv would be too expensive(1-2 years from now)
I hope Mark Cerny also take into consideration that MS will try to make their next-gen console slightly more powerful than the PS5.
@UnholyLight
Not necessarily. Look what happened this gen. PS4 and Xbox One on a nearly level playing field in the beginning and PS4 DESTROYED the Xbox One for the most part. It could happen again. Competition is good but the key thing to remember is that it doesn't matter who has the better console on paper.
My point exactly, it doesn't matter who has the better console on paper. cause hardware power is one thing but having the talent to back up that powe...
@Ju
The X is the most powerful console and still, MS 1st party studio can't make a game on the level of Gow; which is the PS4. So Sony really doesn't have to worry about MS since MS has a lot of catching up to do.
I don't get why Sot is getting so much praise from Xbox fans. The game is a complete fail. There hardly enough content to last a few days.
