Well, I brought up the optimization issue because Sot not having enough content doesn't make sense to me especially when RARE had 4 years to produce the game. Not only does Sot lack content in the game, the complexity of the design of Sot is basic. Everything from characters design/enemies/eniviromental designs are completely basic and lame. Not to mention, Sot doesn't look anywhere near as complete as Gears of War 4 and halo in comparison. So what have RARE been doing the whole time ...
Well said. I especially like the part you said, "Sony needs to focus on a variety of genres they're lacking in. Man, I have been dying for a new Bloody war game for a very long time.
I really don't care for this game.
RARE had plenty of time to make SOT. I can tell you that the pre-production work behind Sot was minimal. How do I know this, look at the characters designs they are lame in appearance, they only have the Kraken without a body, different kinds of skeletons to battle with. Ass for Quest Creatures, they are very simple to design - chickens, pigs, and snakes. The Environmental creature design is simple to design as well - bats, fish, seagulls, and parrots. The ship designs can all be reference u...
SOT seems like the most optimized game MS has ever produced for the Xbox. I think they push the Xbox hardware as far as it can go. That said, I think RARE would have to trade in some of the water physics, effects, etc to add some more content to the game without it producing any hiccups during gameplay. I think this is isn't an issue with the Xbox one x since its powerful enough. Either way, MS would have to make sure all the Xbox versions work consistently.
I could be wrong.
MS 1st party studios lack talented devs and they aren't investing enough money to make aaa titles.
I kicked my Xbox one x to the curb two weeks ago and I don't plan on supporting the Xbox brand ever again.
Edit: however I do want them to succeed.
If Sony makes the PS5 a hybrid gaming console they will automatically lose next gen to MS because a portable system just wouldn't have the muscle/processing power to outperform a full-scale gaming console because DC portable powered electronics wouldn't have the voltage to beat an AC powered electronic of the same specs. Not to mention, an AC powered portable system that is similar in size to the Nintendo switch would overheat. So that possibility is out the window.
Now, if ...
On my first and second post, I pretty much got it backward. But hey everyone makes mistakes here and there. It's all good.
I didn't say neutrality prevent the development of new technologies I said it prevent technologies from being introduced to the world wide market. Technologies such as 8k streaming and devices/driverless car/ heavily robust Cloud tech/etc won't be successful or mainstream if neutrality is passed. neutrality would also affect the growth of ubiquitous computing infrastructure.
net neutrality prevents new technologies from being introduced to the market. I hope that never happens.
MS will be fine at E3. But what I'm really worried about is whether the changes MS will make be a temporary fix or a permanent fix.
All this talk about Hardware power what about the talk of new software upgrades.
MS has to keep trying or else they will fail. Ok, first and foremost, Most of what I mentioned in my post is dealing with pre-production work. Before I go into that, I like to say that there are three phases/parts that are required when making a game. There's pre-production, prodction, and post productions. First, in pre-production, pitches, prototypes, and game design documents are written. If the idea is approved and the developer receives funding, a full-scale development begins. This...
The question is no because MS has too many weakness that needs to work out before next gen arrives.
First, they need to hire a few talented writers that have very good storytelling skills. They also need to hire about half of dozen well-talented concept artist that is also good at coming up with good ideas and concepts. Second, MS needs to strengthen their first party studios like sony by taking different approaches in the way they develop their games. Prime example: I can tell by ...
The specs n parts they mentioned in this article for the PS5 are fairly new if true then I don't know how Sony/Amd will make the PS5 affordable in 2018/2019.
Dang, I was hoping for a 2020 release of the PS5. Anyways, I'm definitely getting a ps5 no matter what happens.
Adding lots of Object to Object interactions in environments in a game is not an easy task because the Devs would have to reframe from using backgrounds/foregrounds that have baked lighting/ dark shadows in them. Plus, devs are limited to 3-4 light source per scene/environments which is limited by the API. In other words, there isn't enough light to cast individual light to every single object in a scene. With every object to object interactions, the devs would have to make sure the light...
Leave the portable stuff to Nintendo. I want the PS5 to be a gaming console.
MS's back up against the wall this time around. They'll show us something for sure the questions is how much.
