I guess I use the wrong word. I'm speaking from experience. I agree, but the main initial work is done by the animators/3d modelers/code programmers/etc. Though, I have met a few artists that worked on Call of duty in the past. They told me after they did all of the artwork/textures/ stories board they felt alienated and did not feel like they were part of the teams. I also heard some writers experiencing the same things. Not too sure about game director as I don't know much about the...

Is it ever too late? Yes and NO. Maybe. The talent(10 years exp.) MS is looking for(New game studio) won't be an easy task/find for them because they aren't that many great talents out there in the gaming industry. MS really need to hire Devs that are good at multiple things and not just have one skill. Prime example: some of the best/fastest 3d characters/object modelers I've witnessed before have incredible art/draftsmanship background. Well, good luck to MS. I hope everything ...

If what you said were true then it wouldn't be an uproar of many Xbox fans complaining to MS to make more games. And, Seeing how many Xbox fan praise Sot tells me all MS really need to is add multiplayer in their games and they will play it. Sure, Xbox owners have the option to play 3rd/BC games but 3rd party games hardly ever get the same development treatment/time as 1st party game due to parity. Truth be told, Xbox one has no games.

By judging by the graphics/gameplay in Anthem the game seem well polished to me. Can't wait to play this bad boy.

That depends. If you stave a man for a long time, everything will start to look delicious. I think some Xbox fan will enjoy it since there not enough good games on the Xbox.

Days gone look wonderful, but I think it needs a bit of contrast I see in some recent games like GOW/last of us 2/ghost of tsushima.

MS/game studios main problem is they cut too corners in the production phase. The Devs don't really have much to do with the creative development of the game. The creative stuff is mostly handled by the artist/writer/game director. Then once everything is done in the pre-production phase it is passed on to the Devs to create the idea/gameplay. So MS needs to hire more artists with a diverse art style/writer/game directors if they want to compete with Sony.

RARE is just a name. The talents behind the name are what most important. Lots of things could've changed within the 20 years of RARE's lifespan. Heck, I'm willing to bet many of the original talents at RARE no longer work there. I don't blame them. Thing is, I wouldn't want to work in any of MS game studios because I wouldn't be allowed to explore/expand my creativity to the fullest. Most people don't realize how boring it is to sit in front of a computer for long...

Nintendo got 3 of their games on the top ten list in UK. That's awesome.

I hope this isn't true. I'm so over the macgyver, the fall guy type of protagonist. The leather jacket stuff is played out. It worked for uncharted though.

Glad someone agree QB was a failure. I guess Some Xbox fan can't tell the difference.

I'm not quite sure I think N4G installed a tracking cookie on my PC so I can't post on here. I'll have to investigate that before reporting it to someone.

Sot sold well according to MS but at the same time, sot was considered a failure by most people.

QB was one of the most Hyped game as well. That's the power of good advertisement. You can pretty sale anything if its marketed right.

Personally speaking, I think Remedy should scrap the QB idea and make a new IP(or existing IP) that people could easily understand/has experienced before. Prime example: It is much riskier(cost more) to make a game in outer space than on land because everyone knows what a tree is, everyone knows what rain falling from the sky looks like,...

QB1 was a complete failure. So If Remedy does decide to make QB2 they would need to make a new game engine because QB1 gameplay was mediocre. Perhaps, that is the reason why Remedy is looking for a senior staff gameplay programmer.

I don't think Square Enix intention was to delay FF7 for this long. Things happens, either for the better or worst especally when a company outsource some work to another company to work on thier projects. Just be happy that Square Enix is making sure we all get the best gamning experience they possibly can make. Good for them.

I predict that TSMC would have about 30% more production than they had last year. TSMC has secured all of Apple's A12 processor chip orders so Apple won't be using Samsung chips. And, I'm pretty sure other company will have dips on the 7nm tech as well. We'll see how all this play out.

From the article:
“More than 50 products tape-outs has been planned by end of this year from applications across mobile, server CPU, network processor, gaming, GPU, PGA, cryptocurrency, automotive and AI. Our 7nm is already in volume production.”

Based on this information I don't think AMD can't meet the demands for all these applications in one year. I'm pretty sure MS has dibs on the new 7nm tech from AMD too. So, it's likely the PS5 will come out...
